No news on Herman can attributed to all the news out there is he is going to Charlie Strong's replacement.

Texas isn't as bad off as people think. Strong has been rebuilding and the new coach will be able to step right in.

According to Moscona, Herman is more interested in LSU than people are leading on.

Gundy got his dick kicked in by Hugh Freeze last year. No thank you!

Exactly. It's also why Dinardo > Saban any day, bc of that one game they played.

One would think, but why all the angst and scrambling at Texas if everything is in place and they're good to go with Herman?

Seems like it should be smooth sailing and calm waters with a clearly determined next chapter in place, but I'm not getting that vibe from Texas ... I'm getting all-out freak out scramble mode.

regarding Gundy

1. His hair is a joke. His kids dared him to do it and since he started growing it out they havent lost. I think its funny

2. He went to OSU and has coached there forever. Have you ever been to Stillwater? plus him and Boone go toe to toe and disagree on things. Its kind of like when we we cant believe kids leaving Louisiana having grown up a LSU fan. Sometimes people want a change of scenery. He knows he will always be second fiddle to OU and recruiting is limited there. He interviewed at Tennessee 3 years ago so he's looking....

As per Gundy, he would be an excellent hire. I prefer Jimbo or Herman, but Gundy is not too far behind. He would be a more-than-solid Plan B.

Definitely prefer Gundy over Fedora/Holgorsen/Mullen

Imo if Texas wasnt in a spot they think they could get Herman, theyd be on Jimbo as well as he is the ither top option out there

There's no doubt he has "some" interest, but no one knows if it's real or just to drum up more money from Texas or Oregon.

If you put a gun to my head today, I would say that Herman ends up at UT, Fisher at LSU.

because it is not. as a matter of fact, maybe against all odds here, I will predict herman DOES NOT end up at Texas.

I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up with Jimbo if Herman tells them no.

Exactly. The lack of any other names being tied to Texas says a lot IMO. Sounds like it would take a lot to pry him away.

That's definitely the best bet as to what will happen.

Will Harris on Finebaum said Jimbo ain't coming here and we should TG he doesn't.

He says Gundy better than Fedora and the ship has sailed on Herman.

Also said our management is going to screw it up anyway..

I'd hire O but man he screwed up letting Fornette play when Guice was ready to go,

Also play at the end, full back dive, really??? He learned though I think.

He's been pretty damn good at an historically bad OSU. Gundy is a really good coach.

No he isn't.

Baylor and TCU have basically made it into the big 12 and passed them during his time there.

Might as well hire Ogeron if it is Gundy.

Gundy would be a hell of a hire for LSU. With the talent pool available to him at LSU and the way he likes to play offense it would be scary for the rest of the conference. You all would not need to worry about being shut out ever again.
