That reporter was quickly told that Miles has been acting weird for the last six seasons.

I do not read DILDEAUX. and stop putting that anti-LSU douchebag's links here.

I'm sorry I didn't get the memo.

He may claim to be an LSU beat reporter but he is the equivalent to a fox in a henhouse. read him long enough in past years to figure that out. many tried to boycott the sponsors of papers that allow gannett. anything to oust him. he's garbage.

anti-LSU douchebag
The flip side of that is Chris Warner.
I'll take Guilbeau every time.

Other than the title, where in that article does it make the argument that Miles is staying? In fact it backhandedly says he'd be crazy not to take it.

Man, the literalists are out in force this morning.
I KNOW the article is not an authoritative statement on Miles staying, okay?
I simply linked it without comment and used the exact article headline in the post title.
Sheesh.

Wow. Strong and strange words from someone sporting images of the Virgin Mary as their signature.
I've been critical of Guilbeau in the past for a seeming bias, especially towards Saban, but he has been very good this year. He has consistently pointed out the actual numbers and has actually defended Miles and knocked Saban. YOu just don't like the message. He's a cranky reporter (he comes across as a real prick in his weekly chats, but I think its funny) and does what they do best - write provoking articles to sell papers. I gather he's one of the most connected LSU beat reporters today given the revolving door that is Baton Rouge media. So chill. He's just doing his job; he's not paid by LSU and he's not paid to write puff pieces for fans.

And I'll second the earlier quote on Warner. If that's the kind of "journalism" you want, you're in a fantasy world. Everytime I see that guys "articles" on here, I lose more respect for TD. I'd say I lose respect for Warner, but after his pathetic Finebaum appearance, I have absolutely zero respect for him.

Whats funny about Warner is his hatred of all things Bama and Saban. Funny how he didn't spew that line when he was in Baldwin County asking for their votes a few years ago. He's just mad because the power structure rejected him.

Wow some of you are complete fools.
I've listened to the tiger talk show on 690 with guilbeau all year here in nola. Dude has been straight forward and IMO honest in his opinions on LSU and Les.
Last night for instance, GG stated Les will stay and that LSU will be in the BCSCG in NOLA next yr. Says Les has already let the Mich peeps know that he's not going anywhere. also had the guy from the bayou bash on promoting the heck out of that. GG also said anyone who still thinks les isn't a good coach just "didn't like the guy from the start and wants to be proven right"
Dudes writing his opinion based on the facts he has in front of him.

Same could've been said about Bear his last year at Texas A&M. Had a serious shot at the NC.
One thing about Miles. I don't think you guys realize how much he loves Bo and Meechigan. I remember sitting at a Fight Club luncheon when he found out an hour or so prior to the meeting Bo had died. Was very emotional for him. You could tell he loved that man and how much he meant to him. Don't think for one second if Meeghigan called, matched or beat LSU's salary and gave him free reign on hiring assistants and paying them he wouldn't take the job. He'd love to be the guy who restored Meechigan and brought Bo back.

Funny huh? Because Guilbeau predicted before the season even started that Michigan would fire Rich Rod and Miles would go to Michigan. Wonder why he's changing his tune now?

to be fair to GG i usually can't stand him but this year something changed with him. i don't know if he had a vendetta against miles for whatever reason (sometimes reporters get butt hurt over access) or he was just being a contrarian douche bag to get readers and ratings like finebaum, but i've actually enjoyed his columns this year.
i never thought i's say that.
