Former Longhorns OC when Vince Young and Colt were around. Also won the Broyles award. Rumor is he is on short list to Aubun or Florida. I'm on my phone so no link, sorry, anyone else heard this?

I've heard both, but I still think we get Stoops and soon. Good luck trying to run the ball with Davis.

i could never understand why texas fans hated him so much. he was at the helm of 7 amazing years of offense- with VY and mccoy- had one bad year and everyone couldnt wait to run him out of town.
his offenses were always good-- maybe not great-- but it was never enough for UT fans

Greg may be a pretty good QB coach but as far as scheming for opponents and in-game adjustments you'd be well advised to look elsewhere.

Seriously, though, I hope we don't go after Davis. McCoy was his leading rusher, and we don't appear to have a QB worth anything.

And fans know so much more about than coaches, don't they. Some of you cats are something else, some of you wouldn't be able to teach somebody to get in a proper stance let alone draw up a rules for pass protection or something in the run game, and yet some of you think you are coaching experts. Is your knowledge of Greg Davis limited to 3 years?
Texas had a very good rushing offense for the majority of time he was there.
