everyone is really worried about the recruiting class and i am, but that is going to happen everytime there is a coaching transition

but this is "the class" of all classes when it comes to L.A. talent

People are freaking out too much.

1) Chief is good, but replacable. Hell Randy Shannon is out there and a great DC.

2) Much of the position coaches are getting paid more at LSU than they would at other places.

Outside of Wilson and Cooper, the rest are not really that irreplaceable.

People are freaking out, since nothing has been substantiated.

And we've lost or may lose several of the best guys in this class even if Les stays (Hill, Robinson, Rasco, Sylve) since they are either committed elsewhere or decommitted.

It's not like we've got the entire great class locked up.

In the end, guys who want to play for LSU will keep their committments.

We survived Saban leaving and if Les leaves, we can survive. DiNardo, Saban and Les have helped construct a great program here at LSU if a good fit is found.

I hope you don't think a few ranter trolls represent the majority of the fanbase. Unfortunately, a few of them are quite fond of reading their own posts and try to maximize their exposure

Well I guess we need a "Louisiana Man" now that UM has found a "Michigan Man"

We're the team to beat for Rasco probably, and nobody is postivie what's up with Hill just yet. Robinson is gone, which hurt, but Sylve isn't as big a deal as you're implying considering depth and who else we have at the position. Keeping this staff intact (minus Crowton and Stud) is imperative to solidifying this class, especially considering the few recruits we still have a chance at.

If we don't hire the right guy, a lot of good things these guys did can be undone.

Ppl, we have lost 11 games in 3 yrs, and some wins were pretty embarrasing (Troy, La Tech, Tenn, UNC). And Miles staff isnt world beaters (Malveto, Crowton, McCarthy, Stud??).

Averaging 4 losses a year, is not worth over $4 million a year. LSUs checkbook will determine its success, not Miles' leaving

It will be a sad day when Les leaves..

I hope and pray if we lose him, that we can hire a slam dunk type of coach..I have no idea who, but the program is in great shape, I would think a lot of coaches would want to walk into a solid situation...

I think Harbaugh was Michigan's first choice all along. I think Michigan lets it seep out that RichRod is out to see what Harbaugh would do. When it became apparent Harbaugh doesn't want to go to Mich, the AD comes out saying they never fired RichRod and they haven't made a decision. I believe Les is their second choice. They will call Les after the Cotton Bowl to gauge his interest. If Les is interested they will fire RichRod and bring in Miles. LSU is prepared for this, I've heard they have been talking to Jon Gruden for months about him coaching in 2011 in case Les leaves.

Not a whole lot out there at the moment as far as potential coaches go. Fortunately for LSU, Les Miles isn't the head coach at Michigan.

I really think the longer they wait, the more Miles will jump the gun and come out and say he is staying. He knows this looks bad and Miles values his reputation.

NOT happening. Definitely should chase him, but not happening. He would be gone in 1-2 years and in the pro's anyway.
