Not a whole lot out there at the moment as far as potential coaches go. Fortunately for LSU, Les Miles isn't the head coach at Michigan.

I don't get this statement???

GREAT coaches have jobs right now... How do we know there aren't great coaches interested if we call?

I think Pelini would jump back here in a heartbeat.

We can do even better, but I'd be more than content with Pelini.

LSU is prepared for this, I've heard they have been talking to Jon Gruden for months about him coaching in 2011 in case Les leaves.

I was with you all along until I read this part

I wouldn't at all be surprised if it were true.

We were also talking with Muschamp.

LSU is prepared for this.

Pelini
Mullen
Gruden
Del Rio

I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point.

Who have you heard this from? I love how an internet wet dream becomes circulated as a rumor with merit. It all stems from someone posting a wishful thread, to some dude saying "I read...", to someone saying, "I heard...". Not buying it.

Gruden and Del Rio NO!

aint happening..neither coach has CFB HC experience

Gruden I heard is making big bucks working for ESPN, Monday night football and he is still get cash from Tampa Bay...he is sitting fat and happy

Del rio just signed another contract

I don't see Pelini leaving after 3 years

Petterson would be a good choice

Other schools are not getting very far with "great coaches." UF hired a coordinator.

Who are these "great coaches" you speak of?

Pelini is not happy--
Doesn't like how he has to fly everywhere to recruit. Wants to be in the southeast and he and osbourne are butting heads.

Well I never had, nor have an opinion on RR.

I'm not getting paid to assemble a list of possibilities, sorry.

If you can't see what an opportunity the LSU coaching job is you are crazy. When we call, people will listen. As long as we contact the right people and are persistent enough I'm not concerned. Just my opinion.

The ONLY reason I wouldn't take Gruden... We would be a stepping stone and coach hunting within 2 years.

Mullen doesn't even have a winning record in the SEC yet.

Really?

I think Mullen is solid,solid,solid.

i watched a special on inside MSU and he seems like a legit high energy leader.

MSU is on the way up, way up with way less talent than LSU..

LSU needs to play to it's potential

Butch Davis is likely a really good potential replacement.

UNC is going to be an awkward situation for him and he's a great recruiter.

I think he'd do very well here. Despite all those suspensions his team finished 8-5 with 3 of 5 losses by 6 points or less.

Yeah, man..some of you folks need reality checks. Do you see who is getting hired....and where?

ANYONE LSU takes will be a gamble. Big Game Bob or Jim Tressel are not gonna come to LSU.
