Says Alleva has completely mishandled the LSU coaching search. Says LSU really doesn't know what they're going to do if they fail to secure Fisher or Herman. Also says O should have never been at the top of the list.
I agree with everything he said. Even the national media recognizes it.
Joe's ability or inability to close the deal with Fisher will be his career defining moment.

How does he know what LSUs plan C or D is? None of us do. He sure doesn't. What did you want us to do? Keep Les Miles? No coach is going to commit in the middle of coaching another team, that is in bad taste. This George guy is dumb.

What has been confirmed to me over the last couple of years is that the national media only has a cursory bit of knowledge of what actually goes on at LSU and most of what they report is based on a tweet they've seen or a 10 second bit on ESPN.

How can you honestly say that when you don't really know what is going on? How can you agree to what this guy is saying when he doesn't know and neither do you?
Why not just let this play out? If by monday afternoon LSU doesn't have a coach and Jimbo and Herman have turned them down then we can have this conversation.

Quite frankly, I could give a rat's arse about a national reporter's opinion on what Joe and LSU are doing in-house. They've shown to be just as clueless as anyone else. Hell, members of this board know more of what's going on behind the scenes than George and others.

Every time I start to think Alleva will pull this out, I immediately recall how completely he misread the situation last year with Alexander and the Politicians...plus the hires He's made and the screw-up at Duke. I just have little confidence in the man.
