Joe Alleva has very little to do with this process. He may be in charge of hiring the Tennis coach or the Golf coach or the Volleyball coach but there are people who have been in Baton Rouge for far longer than Alleva who are running this show.

This guy doesn't know shite just scared LSU gonna take their head coach again if Jimbo deal doesn't happen.

Im no Alleva fan but damn wait until the coach is hired to bash him on this search because in reality only a few people know really WTF is going on behind the scenes anyway.

Oklahoma City? Wtf does he know about our coaching search? Besides, if the info being dropped today is true then we did pretty well

It's like the Denver Bronco's beat writer dropping "sources". The nature of their profession allows them to report and comment on things with zero accountability.

Who gives a shite. They absolutely hate LSU up here. These vaginas still aren't over the '03 BCS game.

100% this. It never amazes me how many OU fans you run into that hate us.

Had one tell me that their uncles friend left the 03 game and had someone pee on him.

I live in OKC, and honestly there is no way in hell Schroder would have any idea about what's going on in Baton Rouge. He's been up Alleva's arse, since Miles was fired.

Says Alleva has completely mishandled

Unless this falls out perfectly with Jimbo or Herman I agree. I found it interesting that the Texas AD, admins and boosters are getting ripped pretty similarly by some media outlets.

Sounds like he has a personal agenda if he's able to completely ignore what is going on in Austin and zero in on LSU. Texas is a laughing stock at what they are doing and LSU hasn't done anything wrong. For him specifically targeting LSU it sounds like a former player banged his girlfriend when he was young and never got over it.

Says LSU really doesn't know what they're going to do if they fail to secure Fisher or Herman.
its not like we can just throw the guy in the trunk of a car and bring him here. Fisher has a good thing at FSU, its more surprising that he would leave than stay. we can do every single thing right and he can still say no.

To be fair, he did rip Texas too. They were talking about the coaching carousel in general and after talking about Texas the host asked him if he thought Fisher was going to leave FSU for LSU. He said he's hearing mixed reports from sources but did not deny LSU being a top job. He said the same thing many on this board were saying two days ago: that Alleva completely blew the 8 week advantage he had. He rhetorically asked: why fire Miles mid-season if you weren't going to use it to get the jump on other schools? Essentially he went on to say Alleva bet on O when he shouldn't have, and the Florida loss is what instigated discussions that should have started weeks ago. He said he doesn't trust Alleva to handle this situation the right way based on his track record, and that any other decent AD should easily hit a home run with this opportunity. (Paraphrasing). Anyway he wasn't "zeroing in" on LSU. He was prompted by the host during a conversation on coaching changes in general.

So you heard last night that Jimbo to LSU is a done deal? You finally heard back from your sources?

It's hard to conduct negotiations with the entire world following you around, calling you at every turn, people tracking plane flights, etc.. It's also harder when your name is Joe Alleva and you have a reputation for throwing your coaches under the bus like he did with the lacrosse coach at Duke....don't think football coaches don't recognize this and take it into consideration.
