Where should he go coach?

Gary Patterson said Tuesday he's ready to coach again if the right opportunity comes along:

He didn’t win more than 7 games in his last 4 years at TCU and is 63 now. No way is he getting a P5 job.

I don't know, he's a splashy enough name that I can definitely see Houston wanting him.

Patterson was pretty bitter about getting forced out of TCU, so if Aranda gets fired, Baylor could pull a shocker and hire him as a middle finger to Cow Town.

I could see K State or Kansas having interest if Klieman or Leipold leaves as well. UTSA if Traylor leaves is probably more realistic

Probably the best answer. And before the future new aTm HC brings him in as DC.

He could make more as DC in quite a few bigger programs vs head coaching at some smaller school. And have less worry (less sweating as he’s known to do profusely). His TCU defenses were legit.

Remember the old days when the winning at the University of Houston was defined as 10-2 and they fired coaches for 8-5? Someone ask the silly indian lady in charge what happened to that.

This is their first year in a real conference.

Holgersen started out by going 4-8 then 3-5 in the covid season.

Applewhite got canned for going 8-5 and 7-5.
