No offense to the Ole Miss guy, but Lane Kiffin has never coached at a school the level of LSU. Harder to reach those goals at Ole Miss. Lane would strive at LSU.

You fricking idiots forget that Ole Miss has literally never done anything of significance. He would have made the 12 team playoff in 3 of the last 5 seasons. They're about to finish 11-1 with the only loss being a super tight game on the road against Georgia. Why are we so quick to discredit this?

What's your reasoning? Less BS with Dilly? Cheaper?

Dilly would be cheaper and hopes to put more money to NIL and get some players.

Main reason for me is Dilly's resume:

-2018 Memphis OC, they ranked 4th in total yds per game

- 2019 OC at Auburn, 28th in total offense plus made Bo Nix a player

- 2022 OC at Oregon, 9th raned total offense, Bo Nix transfer there and got himself highly drafted after Auburn wanted him gone.

- 2024 Arizona st HC made the playoffs and played to the end with Texas, with much lesser talent.

Kiffin would be great at LSU, but I think Dilly would do just as good. Only worry about his age. at 35 would he want NFL job after success at LSU.

There are maybe 4-5 coaches that are better than Kiffin in college football, and none are leaving their current job. It is probably an "overpay" but supply and demand comes into play.

Dilly is hot garbage. Lost to Miss St, Utah and Houston this season and is 21-15 as their HC. From Arizona and played at ASU so he needs to stay where TF he is. No thanks.

9 of those 15 loses cam in his first season...after taking over a complete mess at ASU. He's been 18-6 the last two seasons with a Big 12 championship. Outside of the MSU loss, reasonable folks would probably say the losses to Utah and Houston are reasonable given (a) both are good teams and (b) his starting QB has been injured much of the year. Mixed with those losses is that they handed Texas Tech its only loss.

Is he a "sure thing"? No. No one is. But he's got a pretty good resume compared to many of the purported realistic candidates.

That should be a worry at all. You should WANT a coach that has interest from NFL teams. That means he's performing very well.

The coach from Indiana(Cignetti) is doing pretty good the last two years. What were his major wins the five previous years at James Madison and Elon?

With like 8 draft picks from that team
I like LK, but im not gonna melt if we dont get him.

Other good coaches to be had that can bring the same results minus the circus every yr

This runt is 100% correct. Is lane a great OC? You could make that case. Great HC? Hell no. This would be a costly mistake.

I mean he's only the best head coach they have had since integration at Ole Miss and has them nationally relevant, exciting, and "cool." He seems like a coach designed for the NIL era.

Big XII is WEAK and he only got in bc of an auto bid for winning the conference.

well sure, but he came real close to beating a MUCH better Texas team...

just sayin

dude is hungry and he can coach, he's showed it at every stop. But I'm fine with either Lane or Dilly... we better not settle for Missouri boy

So tired of hearing what has he won while he’s at Ole Miss.

What has any freaking Coach won that is attainable????

I know he just had another 10 win season at Ole Miss.

Pro-tip:

Do not read Ole Miss message boards for any reliable information. There are only two worth reading for sports information: 24/7 and on3.
Neil literally reads the internet for people. He is desperate to out scoop the completion and is not liked or trusted by anyone associated with Ole Miss, saved a chick he had a “relationship” at a very low level in the admin. He is worse than Yancy by a country mile. Speaking of country, Chuck at on3 is definitely in the GOB network. His team are legit but they do have have access. Chuck must have access to the video surveillance system at the Manning center because he can report anything going on at the Manning with absolute 100% accuracy. He’s great for finding out the truth about injuries the story behind any kind of dismissal. He never tells his clients anything ahead of time. He has too close a connection and would never burn his sources. As far as the fans who post on these sites, they may know some things, but they’re not saying anything. They’ll give opinions occasionally, but no one‘s gonna really spill the beans.

THIS!! I prefer Dilly. Not sure why Florida and LSU feel the need to pursue Lane so fervently. Some coaches just need a chance. Kirby was only a DC before he got a chance.
