That’s interesting. So it sounds like the BoR is valuing solid coaching experience and doing more with less vs the big name splash hire.

I feel like A&M won’t go for the splash hire. They will make a smart hire. And it’s gonna be a name nobody expected. But it will make sense

Fritz already has roots in the Gulf Coast. Recruiting and HS coaches connections. So from that aspect it makes sense.

I don't buy this but I wish it would be Fritz. He's had lots of success and has experience in the state of Texas. People talk about his age (63) but it seems like most coaches don't make it past their first 5 year deal. Might as well give it a shot.
And yes I think his daughter should join the program also.
