re: SMU Death Penalty

If I recall at the time, there was a lawyer at the NCAA that was a Texas grad. Also, SMU got some kind of sanctions from the NCAA after beating Texas. They do briefly mention that in the 30 for 30.

There's a book called "a payroll to meet" that covers that era at SMU.

Awesome part of the country. Crater Lake is a must see.

I hiked the PCT and agree about Crater Lake.
I'm pulling for OM the rest of the way. I like seeing new teams win and I enjoy the schadenfreude of it. Hope I'm wrong but I see Miami winning.

I'm not sure where it stands today as I have been out of state for many years. But that political fight was nonsense and both A&M and tu hoarded that cash for themselves. Given its purpose, those funds should have supported many more institutions than just the Ags and Sips.

I agree with you 100% on this.
The state of Texas was the fastest growing state in the nation for several years and we needed to be investing more into all of our schools.

Yep and that masters name is Jimmy Johnson.
A&M has lost the last 3 against Texas and are due for a win. A&M is particularly dangerous when everyone, including their fans count them out.
But Texas could still make it even if they lose to A&M.

The Midwest is not enlightened by any means. It is a cesspool of the US that the majority of the states in that region people continue to leave and move to the south.

The above is 100% accurate. I think I read that 1 in 3 native born Ohioans don't live in the state. In their defense, I wouldn't want to live in the Rust Belt either.

Coming soon, Manziel and Pavia go on podcast team together,

Comeback Season part deux, Electric Boogaloo
Their coach , Willie Fritz is a legit good coach. Expect UH to continue to field solid teams while he is there.
It's cultural issues at both that hamper the programs.

It's the Members Only jacket he was wearing that makes him look like shite.
We could get several billion a year by not sending money to Israel. Could get even more if we stopped bombing/invading countries on their behalf.

Miami is loaded with nil and eager boosters in a huge talent hotbed

If I wanted to say something dumb I’d say Notre dame would win a natty in the next 5 years

This post needs more love. Nice work CAW!
Desmond just picked Miami for the win, so A&M will win today!

Kelly would have done better at LSU if he had brought Lennay Kekua with him.

Thankfully for LSU coeds he didn't bring Prince Shembo with him.
Entitlement and special privileges that most programs don't get. Also resent a lifetime of having their program shoved down my throat.

Ed Oliver famously turned down all the big programs to play for home town Houston as the top DL recruit in the country.

At UH, Oliver will play with older brother Marcus, a sophomore offensive lineman, and be reunited with former Westfield coach Corby Meekins, tight ends coach on Tom Herman's staff.

But your point, U of H does usually have some NFL talent on their squad.
Looks like he's dining without the fam-uh-leee.

Rhule did pretty well with what he inherited at Baylor and looks to have Nebraska on an upswing.

Great song. The Patty Loveless version is probably my favorites.

Wrong. That was Steve Jobs at Stanford.
I see PSU going after Elko more because he is a Northeast guy

They'll duck it. They'll rearrange the brackets or something. Aggie does that shite. Remember when they refused a bowl game a few years back?

That was Wake Forest and gave rise to the 8&4feit moniker.

I don't care about Maron either but thought the Theo bit was good.

What's he famous for?

Being a mediocre comedian.

I don't know how to insert it but google Marc Maron's impersonation of Theo interviewing Hitler. Pretty funny.

Does TexAgs still make those stupid, fake visitor posts about going to an Aggie game? I ask because I haven't seen one in a while.
