We'll see, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just takes Joseph's job with the RC/AHC tacked on to justify a bigger contract. Mostly depends on how Brian Kelly views Faulk though.

Frank Wilson
You really think someone can go from head coach of McNeese to head coach of LSU from recruit coordinator? What am I missing about him?

Damn I miss Frank. Homerun hire. One of the best recruiters I've seen at LSU.

Austin Thomas is Frank's protégé so they should work well together running the recruiting board

So does that mean Faulk is gone? Or does Frank take a different role?

Press release only says associate head coach. Probably still deciding and he'll be WR coach if they keep Faulk.

Ed would probably do well at University of Louisiana at Lake Charles

Moderate length post from a McNeese fan since early 90s..
This is the dagger in the heart for McNeese football. Maybe not the death blow, but it’s one to put you down for a very long time until someone can figure out how to repair it. And that’s sad for me and sad for McNeese fans that’s enjoyed a very rich tradition in winning a historically great program.
Realistically, McNeese just doesn’t have the money to keep up with other programs that have since moved forward with the rest of the college football world. Read an article a while back of a transfer that went to Syracuse and was astounded that they could take as much food/fruit as they wanted to eat. At McNeese it was basically rationed. Small things like that add up and I’m sure that’s not the only thing they are struggling with at the time either.
Just a few years ago, McNeese was beating down programs like ULL and South Florida and keeping up with Texas A&M’s of the world. This type of thing is just going to keep happening to McNeese and it won’t stop until the program is brought up to date.
