The school to watch out for is UCLA. If Mora gets a call from an NFL team, he gone.

At this point of the year, it's not a matter of preferring Coach O over Kelly, it's a matter of being practical. Firing Coach O is not going to happen right now. Period. Coach O is LSU's HC now, deal with it, give him a chance. This continuous hating serves absolutely no purpose in the context of being good for the program.

Kyle Bonagura | ESPN Staff Writer
UCLA coach Jim Mora was asked for his thoughts on his name regularly being mentioned for NFL jobs, staying at UCLA and whether that was discussed during the interview process with new offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch. "My sole focus is UCLA and UCLA football. I love it here," Mora said. "I hope I can stay here the rest of my career. I hope I can win enough games to be worthy of staying here the rest of my career. I love it here."

He gone
ETA not really because NFL teams aren't touching him.

Hopefully LSU is one
Because Chip has done so well against SEC defenses?

Name all the NFL talent he had at Oregon. Wont take long compared to teams he faced like LSU and Auburn. He did kick the shite out of Tennessee though i recall.

I see your point, but I will name them anyway. Three offensive players Chip had as a head coach went on to become 1st or 2nd round picks - Mariota, Jake Fisher and LaMichael James.
Mariota (1 year)
Hroniss Grasu
Jake Fisher
Josh Huff
De'Anthony Thomas
Ed Dickson
LaMichael James
Kenjon Barner
Walter Thurmond
Kiko Alonso
Jeff Maehl
DeForest Buckner
Arik Armstead
LeGarrette Blount (2-3 games)
Dion Jordan
Taylor Hart
TJ Ward
Walter Thurmond
Casey Matthews
David Paulson
Mark Asper
Terrance Mitchell
John Boyett

Kyle Long was a 1st round pick.

The Oregon-Auburn natty, Auburn's defense was straight trash that year and Chip didn't even break 20 on the scoreboard.
His offense couldn't survive SEC defenses week to week in the West. Too many talented and fast players even on underachieving defensive units. Knock that O out of rhythm and it's very beatable.
More importantly his own defenses would be dead. He either duplicates the offensive success of Oregon and leaves his defense out to dry with quick possessions...or he fails to duplicate Oregon and leaves his defense out to dry with quick possessions. The West is power run-first units who would straight break them. A Chip Kelly SEC defense in November is pure back-ups.

Don't think he's gay. He's been married and divorced, as of about a month or so ago he had a girlfriend who works at the University of Oregon.

Completely spaced him, thought he came the year after Chip left.

No way. We got our man. O gonna wreck shop. Dude is focused and on a mission to shut the critics up and get Lsu back to contention.. I wasn't for O getting hired but since then he's done outstanding. His focus during bowl game and on the trail has been impressive

Sure, maybe he can land a college job and when the sanctions come down, he can run like hell. Just like he did at Oregon.

I would be worried he would be gone in a year. Some NFL team might take the shot, and I think he would jump on it.

Waiting till next season is the best thing for him to do . It's also bad for a lot of coaches that are close to the hot seat . I would think a lot of program in the SEC like Tennennesse , A&M , Arkansas and even possibly Auburn , LSU and UF would have some interest next year.

Wonder if he is headed to Cal now that they moved room with the firing of Dykes.
