Alleva needs to end this shite. He let it destroy his basketball hire. Don't let it destroy your football hire.

Isn't that a reason everyone loved O? He brought them back for the Tiger Walk and made them feel special. Apparently Les was an a-hole for not embracing them

Unless they are donating 1 mil + every year they can keep their opinion to themselves.

When was it shown that former players, unless they're pumping serious $$$ into the program, have any say?

Just because reports on a forum say that they're backing Coach O doesn't mean that the Admin is giving their comments weight.

What needs to end, is all these comments being made by people who, for whatever reason, think that they actually know what the frick is going on.

Stop.

How is listening to former players a bad thing? Listen to what they have to say make them feel part of the process but ultimately their input falls into the same category of the fans.

A football team that generates revenue for the school and state. The better the team, the more involved the fans are, the higher the revenue. It's an important decision and not one that should be made by the unimformed or people fueled by emotion.

Just because they are giving input does not mean they actually have input into the process.

Completely untrue.

I personally witnessed Les Miles allow a former player to bring 20+ people on a tour of the facilities, on multiple occasions, one of which completely unannounced.

Not only was Miles hospitable, but he and his wife remembered the player's name 6 years after he graduated.

You referring to his former players or players from before his time? It is pretty well known that Miles didn't allow former players hang around like other coaches. I know this b/c I listened to former players bitch about it long before Miles got fired and O let them in.
