Everyone wants the Saints offense. Everyone at every level. Why don’t other team just go around snatching up everyone on the Saints staff every year? They have the secret playbook right??? Wrong. It’s about knowing how to call that offense in the moment. It’s about implementing the fundamental details through a coaching process that’s unique to the team you have around you. It’s Joe Brady’s approach of implementation is what made him great. It wasn’t just a power point presentation that E and whomever could just jot down and run with. This was a day and night operation of coaching at the highest level with the best talent in the country. Brady’s effort is the reason last year happened. People need to start understanding the value Brady brings is more about Joe Brady than it is the Saints scheme.

Joe Brady’s offense is more similar to Joe Moorhead’s RPO heavy offense, imo.

The Sean Payton influence is in the formations, specifically the bunch concepts.

I agree. He has had a few influential stops that make his concepts unique. It’s not just “hey let’s go get a Saints guy.”

How did Joe Burrow look with E? Then how did he look after being coached by Brady? They elevated each other.

i'm not saying Brady had no role

i'm saying what made the offense go was Burrow

without Brady, Burrow is a respected LSU QB who may get a shot at the NFL as a late round pick. the apex Danny Etling

Burrow just needed a competent, modern offense. i'll make it simple:

Burrow could have been the GOAT without Brady

Brady wouldn't have been shite without Burrow

Disagree. Brady and Burrow both benefited from each other greatly. Brady hasn't exactly stunk it up against the Panthers.

You mean the season he arrived in the summer and didn’t even know his teammates names?

It was all Steve Ensminger’s offense anyway and LSU just forced him out.

Oh really dipshit? He really sucked preparing a never starter to a 3-1 record this year during Brees’s sabbatical. And, Sean Payton is one of the top offensive minds to ever coach the game at any level!

Exactly this. Take yesterday for example. Brees comes back and they have 0 pass TDs and 7 rush TD's... Also look at what they have had to adjust to: Michael Thomas out, Brees Out, etc...

It's funny everyone thinks he was a god...he had a 1st round draft pick at every skill position. 3 olineman that are starting as rookies.

It's crazy the amount of people that think he was some God like OC. Very good but not a God.

And the amount of people that think he ran the saints offense is so funny. Not even close the same.

It’s not the same offense

Just look at the basics of shotgun vs under center

Saints under Payton are about 50/50, zero QB run options in their play design

Brady at LSU was like 96/4 shotgun:under center. QB runs

Brady in Carolina is 60/40 shotgun vs UC. Has some designed runs for Teddy

Brady is not running the Saints offense

The huge misconception is that Brady ran “The Saints Offense” at LSU, yes there is some concepts in there but it was heavy Spread with RPO/Glance concepts influenced by the Joe Moorehead system
