I've seen some of your posts saying or suggesting O should be considered for permanent HC.

You have no standing to then say Fisher and Herman shouldn't be because of their losses.

You can't assume O would do better here than he did at Ole Miss/USC (which wasn't impressive), then turn around and assume Fisher or Herman wouldn't do better here than they have at their respective schools (which has been pretty impressive).

You're right. I do think O should be considered, if the rest of the season plays out in his favor. Considered =/= handed the job. There's still a lot that has to happen.

Jimbo's over there squeaking out wins against NC State a la Miles against inferior opponents here. It certainly doesn't inspire my confidence. We ran Les off for losing 3 games a year with a stacked roster. Tell me how Jimbo is that much better.

Herman has a lot of upside, but not a lot of experience. The way his team has played after the Navy loss is concerning. Is it because they now know they won't be in the playoff? Or because they know he's gone at the end of the year? I don't know. It's certainly not the slam dunk it seemed a month ago.

Now you're totally sounding ridiculous.
Really can't believe anyone would argue this.

Jimbo and Herman >>>>> Orgeron. Is this seriously in question?

You can argue against Fisher/Herman and maybe have some credibility....as long as you rule out Orgeron as well.

Because I don't see articles ANYWHERE talking about how Oregon, USC, Norte Dame, or Texas (or anyone but LSU) might look at Orgeron as their next coach.

I feel like people are over looking the fact that Jimbo has hot garbage for assistants over there. That defense looks like Lou teppers nephew is running it or something

We don't know if Jimbo can win a championship here, but I think we can at least expect fairly high results.

Jimbo will win championships at LSU. Especially if he has a stud DC like Aranda. We are stacked. Jimbo can recruit, develop a QB, and run an offense. Keeping O as RC and Aranda as DC would be gravy on top of an already loaded biscuit.

So, if you give Jimbo 22 NFL players and a Heisman winning QB, he will deliver championships

What does Saban win championships with? Or Urban?

No but Urban lost a few games when he had his "health issues" at Florida and then goes to Ohio State and look what happened. Sometimes a change is for the better and coaches improve. Plus weren't we talking about his season with all that talent. Jimbo didn't lose a game for 2 seasons.

Considering neither coached in the ACC, the answer is no.

But LSU isn't getting Saban or Meyer, so LSU should go for the next best. That would be Jimbo.

Pulling a BCSNC and playoff coach from another P5 conference would be the best resume hire LSU has ever attained.

Sorry, but Jimbo and his style won't beat Alabama

I do wonder about this. Jimbo is a good QB coach and all that but still, I don't know if his scheme can beat Bama.

I don't even assume jimbo would come. Or if LSU is willing to pay what it'd take to get him.

I don't see how Orgeron stays if he doesn't get the job. But people need to keep in mind that Fisher will be able to go out and get top flight assistants if he's here. That's not necessarily the case at FSU. There would be staff changes but I can see us keeping Craig and promoting him to RC and keeping Aranda and Raymond.

for at least 5 years bamas strength has been their front 7. Fisher throws the ball. Ole Miss is the best passing team in the SEC, and the only ones to have success vs saban.

id sure as hell rather try that than running into a brick wall for 60 minutes.
