football scoop has been reposting the same article on twitter for the past 2 days. they're really a concept that has outlived its usefulness. tons of cfb insiders report moves before they get their hands on it. before twitter and socials were big their website was the place for insider info, now they've pretty much resorted to editorializing and podcasting to generate clicks. don't play along with them.

You stop the run, you stop Napier’s entire offensive scheme. He is one trick pony.

Both of these guys were essentially HC in waiting. They didn’t go pull an assistant from another staff.

Again, please tell me how a guy in 6th season that is on the verge of 6-6 or 7-5 is an acceptable hire for a program that has the second most NC’s in the BCS/CFP era.

This is a second tier mentality.

I get what you’re saying but Saban had three 6 win seasons at Michigan State and he was only there five years.

Campbell would consistently win 10+ games if you gave him our resources.

I am sure explaining advanced metrics and postgame win expectancy would go right over your head, but if you think Iowa State is just an average 6-6 team then you haven't really watched them or paid attention to how their games have gone. They are a little worse than last year when they were elite on both offense and defense, but they're still a very good team.

Napier's offense is predicated on his personnel. He threw the ball more at ASU and Clemson. He does not have a traditional drop back passer at UL presently. He has 3 horses at RB. The most phenomenal job he has done is on our DEFENSE. Got great coaches and used the portal to get SEC talent. This GUY is FOR REAL.... FLORIDA is lucky to have him...

You are what your record says you are….

He’s in his 6th season in a very average Big 12 this year and he’s starring at .500.

But if you want to tell me how .500 in the Big 12 this year is a really good team based on stats, I’ll let you make that argument…good luck.

We hit a home run with Saban, not so much with DiNardo.

We are a top 5 program, we should not be rolling the dice on a coach that “might” get it done at the elite level, we need one that has proven he can do it.

Just a difference in mentality.

And who might that be? Who is this guy that's proven he can do it?

Riley? What if we can't force him to take the money?

So Saban wasn't what his record said he was when we hired him? Interesting...

I already answered it above but I’ll repeat for the remedial section of the class.

Riley (multiple conference titles) and Jimbo (a NC and multiple conference titles).

I’ll add a new one, Meyer. Go get one of these coaches if you are an elite program.

Hell aranda in year 2 is going to be within 1 win of Campbell’s best year.

You can’t compare the college game from 2000 to now. Recruiting is a whole monster of its own. If Cambell is the hire, the transfer portal will be full. And most of the recruiting class will be gone…. This is by far the riskiest hire out of every candidate in my opinion. Jimbo,Saban,Kirby,Kiffin will eat this guy up on the recruiting trail…

You understand that just because you want a coach doesn't mean that he's a legitimate target right? There has to be mutual interest. This whole "just go get him" doesn't mean anything. A coach has to want to be gotten.

And Aranda doesn't fit your criteria so he's out.
