I dont know why we dont get Canada now. Screw Kiffin. He would only be here for one year anyway. Why install a new offense for one year then have to do it all again next year. Lock up Canada for years or so and then youre set with OC and DC for the next few years.

To be fair Canada isn't a long term hire either. He tried to get the East Carolina job this year. He is like every other coordinator. They want to be a head coach. There are maybe 3-5 coaches that are happy just being coordinators. That is the exception not the rule.

Kiffin is poison and does not need to be at LSU. O needs to push the issue and find someone else besides his good buddy. I keep hearing "there's no rush", but these top notch OC's might not be available when O finally makes his mind up. Waiting on Kiffin is total B/S.

Could help some recruits solidify their commitment to LSU. I know there is still time for that as well, but i think having a name in place helps relieves some doubts amongst recruits.
