Football And Woke Do Not Mix

Football is not a fairy tale game. Football is rational. Woke is irrational. In Football you play the best players you have. You don’t play the bench warmers because their feelings are hurt over not playing. Being woke is all about not hurting anyone’s feelings. If Football was woke then everyone would get to play in the game and walk ons would get to play as well.
With that being said, when searching for a new coach, I have a fear that woke politics may play a factor in hiring the next head coach, as LSU has continuously given into being woke. The next head coach of the tigers should be hired because he is highly qualified and a successful coach. We do not need a hire made based on emotion, diversity, etc. We need a hire based on numbers and records.

They lost a lot of people with the woke culture and Covid restrictions, hire Mel Tucker with all the other qualified coaches out there and you’ll see a mass exodus like has never happened at LSU before.

This is going to be painful. I hear the first sign of woke culture is say woke a zillion times on sports forums. It’s kind of a “you smelt it, you felt it kinda thing”.

It’s coming. Just like it did at Miami, Texas, USC and eventually most of the PAC. The fan base bought right into the fire O mantra and now Tate is going to get who he wants.

I'm not, I would be pleased with David Shaw. All I’m saying is don’t make the hire based on politics. Make the hire based on numbers and success. So why am I wrong?

Why? Fans just wanted to be rid of O. Are they just now realizing Tucker was a real possibility as a replacement? Surely LSU fans are not that ignorant. They knew he was a possibility and wanted O gone. That should not upset a single LSU fan that wanted O gone.

A woke football coach would be impossible to overcome and Woodward would be the scapegoat.
