After what has transpired, I am just glad we dodged that bullet. Have fun with the drama queen until he leaves in a couple years for the next shiny object. The man has no loyalty to anyone but himself.

Isnt the story essentially that Florida uppers want a lot of control over player management type stuff? Seems like Kiffin listened to Florida but he wasnt a fan of their structure around player control which took power away from the coach.

I do think that once LSU opened up Florida was screwed.

Florida ended up with a great hire in Sumrall. They should be thankful for what little they have.

This deal was done before BK ever cleaned out his office.

All the “lanes talking to”, “lane didn’t know where he wants to go”, “lane is torn” 100% message board bullshite. Did Florida reach out to him? I’m sure they did. But he was never really entertaining going.

Lane to LSU was the worst kept secret ever in college football coaching searches.

So he’s like every other coach in college football? Got it. Thanks.

Chris Doering, who I normally like listening to, said yesterday that Florida dodged a huge bullet by Kiffin not coming there. It's just sad the measures people go to convince themselves they are right.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to deal with the pain buddy. Maybe join the support group with Finch. It may help.

lol right. Because the media created a false narrative about him abandoning his team. The guy tried to handle this deal the best way he could and understandable that the OM AD wouldn’t let him coach but ole miss leaked a lot of shite to make Kiffin look like a jerk once they knew he was leaving.

This is a cfb calendar issue. Nothing more.

Starting with his first HC gig, Saban held 7 jobs in 17 years before landing at Bama. 17 year later he retired from there.

Sumrall has been in 3 different HC jobs in 5 years, and 9th overall in 21 years.

Since his first HC gig, Kiffin is at his 7th job in 19 years.

See a pattern?

This. If Stricklin says, "It's your program bring us some championships. Let me know if you need something." He may very well have ended up at Florida.

I live in FL and can tell you first hand Gator fans live in an alternate universe.

Worst fan base on earth and nobody comes close.

Yall really are the worst. Sore losers and abysmal winners.

If Kiffin signed with UF you’d be creaming your fricking pants right now.

Hate to break it to you, but LSU is the shiny object. Lane is going to be here for a while.

Seems like Lane was caught off guard by the initial impression from Florida. Thank god for Verge
