Trust me, I’m not either. Just thought I would add to the conversation.

My apologies, man. I shouldn't have phrased it the way I did. Wasn't trying to be a jerk.

This search is just something else.

No hard feelings

Campbell made a bad Big 12 team average.

Campbell took OU to the wire in the B12 CG last year. Kentucky has had exactly 2 winning seasons in the SEC under Stoops and never come even remotely close to the East crown or SEC CG.

This is a bad comparison and you should feel bad.

it's 100% proof Woodward whiffed hugely

No way. It's not proof of this at all. You do realize this guy has turned down actual NFL opportunities, don't you?

I could absolutely see him being Woodward's top choice. He's a young, bright, energetic, detail oriented coach who's big on discipline, teaching and development and preaches team over individual.

You’re right, I feel terrible. Thank you for pointing this out to me so I can feel guilty about this comparison that was not worthy of your standards. lol

To be clear, Stoops would be equally disappointing.

Everyone is saying Napier is the new saban. I think its this guy.

Not dynasty levels of dominance, but maybe something like 2 nattys and a competent program

Come on man, if he was the top choice he'd been announced today. Their season is over. No reason to wait unless it's being announced in the next day or two.

Campbell isn’t one of my top choices, but he is a very good coach who will run a disciplined and organized program and have a good, balanced offense with modern principles.

Have you watched UK’s offenses under Stoops? This year was his best and it was still ugly as shite. 10th in the SEC in passing and pass YPG, and that was improvement. Our inconsistent passing game was 5th, for comparison. He will never progress unless he modernizes his approach, and his 2021 OC hire still isn’t it.

There is nothing equal about them. Campbell is a much better hire than Stoops.

The LSU men are playing a tourney in Destin and a plane came back from there last night and tonight went to the same town the Iowa state women's team played and now going back to Iowa.

Saying he would be disappointing is dumb. His success relative to his school has been outstanding. If somebody wins 8 games at Vandy consistently then they are a great coach. That’s basically what he has done.

Exactly. He wouldn't be disappointing at all. Huge upgrade from a meathead like orgeron.

Very good observation. It also took the team to Destin on Wednesday.

At least it was LSU related.

Why's it gotta be announced today? Maybe Campbell needed a couple of days to tell his players in person. They played on Friday, so maybe all his players went home for the weekend and won't be back to campus until Monday. IDK, maybe you'd rather a guy who just sends his players a text message, or has the interim coach inform the team for him?

Maybe the final details of the contract are still being ironed out.

There are legit reasons why it wouldn't be announced today that aren't "he's not the top guy".
