Lane Kiffin to Miami? CFB insider explains why Ole Miss coach ‘would have a hard time saying no’ to Hurricanes

quote:

Lane Kiffin has been mentioned in several coaching carousel rumors this season, but so far, nothing has materialized. Could that change in the future, though? There are rumors linking Kiffin to the Miami job should Manny Diaz be fired. On “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on Wednesday, CFB insider Bruce Feldman explained why he thinks Kiffin would have a hard time saying no to the Hurricanes:

People have short memories around here. Every time a job opens up there is Kiffin hysteria. “OMG he could NEVER say no to an offer from (insert flavor of week job.”

Lol at Auburn

Melt.

You seem overly concerned about this. If it happens you will just have to accept it. If it doesn't ...meh

Miami hired Cristobal cause he had success at Oregon and was a former player on a National Title team with a resume as good as Kiffins. That is why Kiffin won’t get the Bama job. The only way would be if Dabo got caught in bed with a dude and in this day and age that might not matter. Again Kiffin isn’t bringing any titles to OM if hey stays there for 50 years. The last time OM hoisted a trophy was 1963, do you think that is just a coincidence? I am coming around to the idea that the OM Melt will be even more glorious when Rev. Hugh Freeze wins the SEC at AU.

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't recall Miami offering Kiffin a job.

Sexton is his agent. He's going to be rumored for every job in existence including the XFL. Better just get used to it.

Most of us are. But our fanbase has been through some shite. Eli getting stepped on. 4th and 25. Super regionals over the years.

We are learning how to be a winning fanbase. It just takes time.

It’s because Kiffin tries to get his name into every coach search out there. He was tweeting about the lsu job as well last year.

Who is his agent? that should say a lot. Not saying he is not going to the War Eagles but Sexton does this every year to get a better contract. On second thought who would want to stay at Ole Miss.

Kiffin got beat out by Cristobal for the job. He was gone if they didn’t land their top choice.

Your OL getting bullied backwards by Chad Lavalais and forcing him to step on Eli.

Glorious play.

Even if Lane leaves, it has been shown using very different coaches that Ole Miss can be very successful.

Ole Miss fans should get used to people wanting the HC, I mean that is the sign of a successful program often.

Kiffin would have been a good hire for Miami.
