USC is a dead-end job now. Like Nebraska. Can’t imagine Aranda would be interested in going there. If Woodward is not “high on Aranda” like you stated, then Scott’s analytical mind is not as great as everyone thinks.

If this is true Woodward whiffed on all the top coaches and LSU likely ends up with Tucker and everyone happy it wasn’t Stoops. I just refuse to believe that crap.

That’s good news. We’re at least 2-3 weeks away from naming a coach. Now is not the time to be standing on the goal line with the target. Too much can go wrong between now and then.
Now is the time to cast a bigger net and make multiple calls. Not necessarily because Woodward is down to 2nd and 3rd tiers of candidates, but to subtly leak names, and take the heat off the real targets.
Worst case, this is also the time to line up fallback options if disaster strikes in December.
