These are O fans who are pissed off, man.

And the best part is, they won't admit that they're O fans. They won't even stand by their man.

I actually read it..

That's a drive from the 1st half.

My post was clearly talking about their 2 TDs in the 3rd qtr. So again, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at.

Point is, it not about who scored, but what type of play calling set up the score.

Hit them with logic and x and o stuff? You mean like I did for years breaking down miles and his problems? I used to grade his games. When I made a argument to go back and watch it was hilarious.

Certainly doesn't apply to me.

How can you say he's not the best option? You've given no names of other coaches you think are better. I thought you would at least have someone else who you've watched that you think is better. Your past posts show that you defend Herman like crazy. If you think that's the guy, say so. You've been extremely vague other than you one game analysis. You talk about new age offenses, yet you've given no examples of people who run it.

Is Briles your guy?

Just go through a real process. Herman has created questions of his own. Rather have a "favorite", I'm hoping the process is not a farce. That it is a real process. The problem is I like so many other coaching philosophies over LSU and FSU. I like Freeze's style over both. That approach with our defense, could be dangerous. I'm not saying I'm a Freeze fan. I just hope that the powers that be, are locked into a candidate. "Go through the process". Look for candidates that are more college friendly, and respect the need for high quality defense.

Fair enough. If you like Freeze, seriously Mike Gundy might be your guy. I'm starting to warm up to him TBH.

Who knows. Gundy's commitment to defense might be an issue. Hard to say how much of it just B12 recruiting issues.

No matter who you have a QB, they are low percentage concepts. You have to design plays that creates space btw WR and defenders. Jimbo's system does not.

I'm against simplified systems that run WRs and RBs out at QB and can be successful once every 4 years. These kids want to go to the league. Why do you think Harris came here to be tutored by a NFL OC?

So you're saying a scoring drive early in the 2nd qtr setup two 1-play TD drives in the 3rd quarter? One of which came when they had the lead?

Jimbo must be more of an offensive genius than I thought.

Not Jimbo. Sean Payton Herman, Peterson but he's not leaving the West coast. IDK I just think Jimbo will not be what everyone thinks he will.

Cool.

But I thought this was supposed to be a "Jimbo isn't that great" thread.

I can respect that. Petersen is not happening. I do like the idea of bringing on a new offensive style. Herman is definitely the guy to do that. He's had some struggles this year, but we don't know why. They've had a lot of distractions. Who knows.

We'll just have to agree to disagree about Jimbo, though. I think he'll be great here. Will he win championships? Who knows. But at least you guys don't think Orgeron is a better choice.

It is. I would have done it in a lot less detail that the OP. FSU's performance this year is statement enough. Like the OP, I'm not fan of his offensive philosophy. I want to see the Tigers with a completely different look. I've gone on record many times in favor of spread offense and DT QBs. I see some elements of spread in what Jimbo does. Not enough for my taste.

you think he'd be playing from behind a lot with our defense?

Do you really think an Aranda defense would give up 62 to Louisville?

Thats only one side of the question. The other side is the effectiveness of FSU's offense versus quality opponents.
