Not Jimbo. Sean Payton Herman, Peterson but he's not leaving the West coast. IDK I just think Jimbo will not be what everyone thinks he will.

Herman is owning Louisville, Like he owned Jimbo in the bowl game last year

Tonights game is the example of what I see as the state of college football offenses. Its the only type offense that Saban struggles with.

1. Yes. The college game is turning away from it.
2. I'm not a fan of the current staff either. So...
3. Click on the link above, watch the game. The offensive productivity speaks for itself.
4. Current CFB playoff poll - 1. Alabama (Spread) 2. Ohio State (Spread) 3. Michigan (Pro/multiple) 4. Clemson (Spread) 5. Louisville (Spread)
5. I think the trend twd including the QB in the run game is the reason the last SEC QBs to win the heisman were dual threats. Top 5 programs (do as they do)
6. so you dont agree. ok then lol
7. and thats a problem. he does run a spread when he trails lol
8. I dont see a lot of matchup probs. I see blitz recognition prob

1. so saban has won all of his championships with the spread? especially last year right?
2. glad we agree on something
3. i think that an offense ranked in the top 40 is pretty productive.
4. since 2010 only 2 spread teams have won the national championship.
5. are we wanting Heismans or championships?
6. being empty puts a lot of stress on the Oline, his line is garbage so why put yourself in a bad position? you can be just as effecting out of 3 wide with a good TE then with a 4 wide set. just because our team cant execute in the passing game with certain formations doesnt mean the formation sucks and we need to be 4 and 5 wide all the time.
7. no he needs to pass the ball (which they do) which can be done in multiple formations.
8. you totally missed the point but whatever.

the "spread" isnt the only way to win

You like Jimbo. I get it. The OP doesn't. Neither do I. I'm too am more persuaded by Bama's shift in philosophy. Last year, Bama went more wide open in the second half us against us, and never looked back. There may be more than one way to win, Urban Meyer and Hugh Freeze has shown us how to beat Bama, and its not out of pro style sets.

This is really interesting. I remember Jimbo's offenses at LSU short slanting defenses to death. Especially with Russell. Maybe that was more product of the QB's skill set than his true offensive ideology. Thanks for the share, very good info.

They've attempted short passes this year. Too easily diagnosed. Not enough options

and aranda... that 11th guy, if he can run.. is a motherfricker... a mobile running QB that is accurate is deadly in college football.. they tackle alot better in the NFL
