He looks good padding his win column with two FCS games a year. He gave up 70 to ECU in 2014. 70 points to ECU. I don't know who LSU should hire if it isn't Herman or Fisher, but I am confident it's not Fedora.

Fedora's best win in his 11win season was a 7-5 Pitt team. Wrap your brain around that. He is 1-4 against teams that have finished in the top 25. 2-8 against teams that were ranked at the time they played.

After his ONE good year at southern miss. Two different coaches won ONE ballgame in TWO years.

His supporters say it was Ellis Johnson's fault. Ellis coached ONE season. The other coach was Todd monken. Todd monken is serving his second stint in the NFL. Pretty good coach. He won three games in two years following fedora and Johnson. He finally turned southern miss around to win 9 games.

Now, if you look at the four years after fedora, southern miss won four games. That is not all on Johnson who coached one season.

Is that a fact? You know this? Truth is, no one on here knows shite and can't predict the future. We once promoted the likeable assistant/players coach over a young hot shot named Spurrier. We tried to get an a-hole from Louisville that basically interviewed like "Huff and Doback". We once hired an "unproven, cocky a-hole, control freak" away from Michigan state, who was known for "getting his team up for big games but sometimes losing to inferiors". That just about covers every candidate we've mentioned. Sometimes, results are influenced by setting and personnel.

Sounds like a very Alleva-like hire to me. Has he made a good hire since he has been an AD at LSU? I'm still amazed he even has a job here. Must be great at bringing the money in because he can't hire a coach worth a shite in any sport.

After last season I don't see how anyone in here can trust this administration to make the right hire in the most pivotal point in the program's history. I'm less than optimistic.

You keep posting that stat but it's still wrong. He's 4-9 against ranked teams at the time they played. He was 0-5 his first two years here. 4-4 since he's had the opportunity to recruit some of his own players under scholarship reductions. Two of the 4 losses since occurred last year against #1 Clemson and Baylor in our bowl game. Completely satisfied with the job has done to date at UNC under a NCAA cloud.

I personally think Fedora would be an awful hire and just show how far LSU has fallen. To me, that's one of the lower guys on your list when everybody just said thanks but no thanks. That's bad, IMO. I don't see how anyone could get excited about that hire. On paper he might not seem like a terrible hire but he sure as hell isn't a homerun hire either. Certainly nothing that will get this fanbase excited and devouring scalped tickets like crazy.

Better be Fisher at this point and even he is a huge risk for LSU but at least you know what you get with him since he was already here. I wonder just how happy he is under FSU. That would be the key there in him deciding to come over here, IMO. I heard he has some friction with FSU's admin I don't know how true that is but if it is I could see him wanting out.

If true I believe one reason that people are overlooking is how arrogant LSU looked and kicked Miles out this season. That's a terrible way to handle a situation and I'll put money down several coaches looked at that and said, "No way do I want to deal with that dumpster fire". Alleva and crew couldn't put their ego behind them and went very shortsighted on the situation that ultimately might hurt us. This administration at LSU is a fricking disaster I don't care what anyone says.

Wake me up when they actually hire someone that gets me excited for next year. Sorry if I don't think it's going to happen because the names being tossed around honestly suck.

I wish I could upvote more than once.

Fedora would be a seriously bad hire for LSU and Alleva could pretty much start getting his resume together if that happens..

yes it is a fact and i do know this because his offense doesn't work on the highest level. it simply doesnt, that's why only fringe programs run it. its been around for decades, if it worked, if it really was that easy to score 50 every week, everyone would run it.

his offense is bullshite and would get us killed in the SEC. this is the run/pass ratio for some major teams this year

team -- rush attempts per game -- pass attempts per game

LSU -- 36.3 -- 23.8
FSU -- 37.3 -- 35.3
BAM -- 43.6 -- 29.3
AUB -- 51.4 -- 22.3
HOU -- 44.3 -- 38.1
OSU -- 46.5 -- 32.2
MIC -- 44.5 -- 28.0
WAS -- 47.8 -- 27.1
LOU -- 40.3 -- 34.9
OKL -- 41.4 -- 32.2
BAY -- 54.9 -- 29.9 (this is for last year under briles)

see a pattern? all of these teams run more than they pass. know who doesnt? teams like UNC and Texas Tech

UNC -- 31.1 -- 36.3
TT -- 35.6 -- 47.6

wait do you think Fedora is a first year coach? He's been coaching 9 years this is only the 2nd time he's had more pass attempts.

Last year UNC was 38(run)/29(pass)

Fedora would destroy shite at LSU, mark my words.

All of yal are clueless haters. UNC is an incredibly difficult place to win at, and he's made them consistently competitive with everyone.

His ceiling is a better version of Freeze. His offenses are Southern Miss were much better than UNC. He will adapt according to his personnel and the competition.

LSU fans should be ecstatic if you missout on Jimbo and Herman, but are able to recover with Fedora.

The LSU fans who post in coaching search threads seriously make me wonder if they've ever watched college football before. Some of the takes are so bad. Fedora is a very good coach.

So he's Les Miles.

Great.
