his offense is bullshite and would get us killed in the SEC. this is the run/pass ratio for some major teams this year

team -- rush attempts per game -- pass attempts per game

LSU -- 36.3 -- 23.8
FSU -- 37.3 -- 35.3
BAM -- 43.6 -- 29.3
AUB -- 51.4 -- 22.3
HOU -- 44.3 -- 38.1
OSU -- 46.5 -- 32.2
MIC -- 44.5 -- 28.0
WAS -- 47.8 -- 27.1
LOU -- 40.3 -- 34.9
OKL -- 41.4 -- 32.2
BAY -- 54.9 -- 29.9 (this is for last year under briles)

see a pattern? all of these teams run more than they pass. know who doesnt? teams like UNC and Texas Tech

UNC -- 31.1 -- 36.3
TT -- 35.6 -- 47.6

its a bullshite offense that can overwhelm bad teams or teams that get down early, but thats all it is.

not to mention, we're not built for it, it would almost be like when Callahan tried to run the west coast at Nebraska. we'd lose games we shouldn't while trying to run his system, and since he cant recruit for shite, the momentum could get completely overwhelming very quickly.

That fact that we're even considering Fedora is insane.

Most of us agree that LSU is a top 5 job. Apparently quite a few people in the media do as well.

And after 2 months of conducting a search, the most realistic candidate at this point is...Larry Fedora?

I don't know if he'd be a disaster, but I am willing to say that if we don't get Fisher, we could be in for a little string of pure mediocrity.

I'm sure Fedora's stats wouldn't change at all at LSU.

They won't. He will bring his inept recruiting prowess here and make sure every SEC team makes Louisiana their new recruiting hotbed. Dude simply can't fricking recruit.

Yes LSU is a top 5 Job

That doesn't equate to getting a top 5 coach. Some of you need to understand this. Why would a coach leave the 10th best coaching spot or 15th besf spot to move up a few when more than likely they can win championships at the school they are at and already have a system in place, to uproot and start over

It's just fricking nuts that LSU had a head start on almost every school and now reports are coming out we're down to fricking Larry the porn star Fedora and Dana the Drunk Holgerson.

If this is truly the case, Joe can already get his fricking resume ready.

Not to mention any established coach knows he has to come in and win, win, win! Extreme pressure. Must be an aggressive recruiter. Even Jimbo- does he still have the fire to start over?

fedoras offense is good for teams who need to make up a talent gap, its good for overwhelming bad or average teams, but it will not beat a good defense except by luck. in the SEC its a guaranteed 3 losses a year.

You all are going to be let down...big time because you are being unrealistic. Texas, a better job, hired Charlie Strong. USC, a better job, hired an assistant coach. Florida, a better job, hired Coach McBeaver. Georgia, at least an equal job, hired an assistant coach.

If LSU hires a proven, successful head coach with an offensive philosophy from this century, we should all be happy.

Fedora is a good coach. Is he that "walk on water", "sure thing" kinda guy...absolutely not. He's Mike Gundy with a beard. Offense will be the strong suit but his teams always find a way to lose 1-3 games a year without reason. They just get out played. He is not a home run hire...

If that's true for LSU too then we should hire Aranda. He's smart and could bring in a great OC. I'd much prefer that to Fedora or some other retread.
