After reading several of your posts on here I'm now convinced you aren't an FSU fan, or you are one the galactically stupid ones out there. Almost all of your reasons as to how FSU admin could mess this up are completely wrong.

why does anyone listen to what any coach says about these types of things?
He can't say he's leaving (that would destroy his relationship at his existing job) and he can't say he's staying (his agent wants him to be "in play" so he can negotiate a big raise at his current job if he doesn't leave).
So ignore everything a coach says, until there's a formal announcement.

For you guys trying to read too much into one statement or another...did he use the right phrase? Is he sending secret code to his cadre of man-love sycophants through his intricately crafted statements? You are losers. Will send you all rolls of duct tape when he is not named the coach or a case of Vaseline when he is named.

He may be in for a big surprise.
"If Fisher is using the LSU job as leverage in contract negotiations, one of the things he is believed to want is more positions for support staff, like Alabama has with its notorious “shadow coaching staff” of assistants who perform pseudo-coaching duties in non-coaching roles.
Thrasher seems open to working with Fisher, “within reason,” and the two are believed to have a decent relationship."

This is coach speak. Many other coaches would make similar remarks if they were in Jimbo's position.

He does have a tendency to kick too many field goals in the red one. in fact the gators used to call him field goal Fisher.
