sucks big time for SC. there aren't a lot of quality DCs out there for the picking.

This. If Ellis would've stayed here when BMFP hired him before Spurrier we would've won a SEC title by now

disection of this means that anderson likely is out of the running.

with that said it's also twitter where at signs and octothropes mean shite so disection is futile.

I think this is Ellis' job by Wednesday, but it isn't finalized yet. I also think USM is doing this dance today as a negotiating tactic. Cheap bastards.

FWIW....

Scott Hood @ScottHood63
Apparently, people tracking the USM school plane say it landed in Columbia this afternoon, supposedly to take EJ to meet the school prez.

I was told a short time ago by a USM insider that Johnson might be headed to Hattiesburg this afternoon to meet the USM president.

At least one national CFB website I saw is reporting Ellis Johnson will be named HC at So. Miss.

I would think that former Alabama player, Lorenzo Ward, will get the DC job at South Carolina.

Yes.

But I think GA Mangus would be offered the OC Job over Spurrier Jr.

I wonder if USCe would make a run at Cooper as their DC now.

Cooper is a helluva secondary coach, but undermined HBC when he was here. He is never coming back.

I like Ward a lot- he got off to a rough start his first 2 years, but locked it down this year. I hope he stays, but fear he will head to Hattiesburg as EJ's defensive coordinator.

If Johnson takes the Southern Miss job, their chances of getting Anthony Alford increase a ton

Alford's HS coach is friends with and used to work with Johnson. I think Alford to USM is a very strong possibility .

Before or after Spurrier pulled him into a post game PC to embarrass him?

Spurriers throws Cooper under the bus, then backs up bus to run over him again.
