Clown question, bro

This is how Alabama backed into hiring Saban. All the other options fell through so they had to go back to him.

Is there anything better you can be doing with your time?

The doomsday scenario would be ending up with Drink

Doomsday scenario would have been not getting rid of Brian Kelly.
I could name 10-15 options I’d be happy with. I’d be especially happy with your scenario if top candidates are Golesh, kelvin shepard, Bob Chesney, Will stein , etc…
Go get someone that’s hungry.

The Doomsday scenario is that somehow this gets extended to where we have to wait for him to finish the playoffs...and then he decides to stay at Ole Miss.
Nothing would be worse than that.
Any scenario where he doesnt come to LSU but we find that out by Saturday is fine.
We will have tons of coaching options. I would just about guarantee that there are guys they have vetted that have said "If he doesnt want that deal ill take 2 million less...just call me."

At that point my answer to your question would be Dillingham which may not be the end of the world.

Nah, it's:
1. After beating State, Kiffin is overcome with emotion, announces he's staying in Oxford, and leads Ole Miss to the final four, where ...
2. Ole Miss loses to Texas A&M in the semifinal, who ...
3. Beats Notre Dame in the national championship game.
4. Meanwhile, OU and Vandy make the playoff that again does not have LSU ...
5. Meanwhile, LSU started the season with a seemingly epic road win against a supposedly juggernaut team that ended up meaning nothing ...
6. Meanwhile, Dillingham signs a long-term extension while LSU chases Kiffin's psychosis.

Kiffin chooses Florida, Sumrall goes to Ole Miss, Drinkwitz to Auburn, Morris to Arkansas….
who would LSU go after in this scenario?
My #2 is Marcus Freeman
#3 Kenny Dillingham
#4 Alex Golesh
#5 Josh Heupel
ETA: If we get past those 5, Get Kelvin Sheppard or hire Blake Baker with the authority that they will go get Mack Leftwich or Jordan Davis as OC

Well, if he’s overcome with emotion, beating Mississippi state he would not be the correct coach.

Considering Dillingham is easily 1B...It is a no brainer
