It's also plausible that we know who the new OC will be and they have green-lighted the position coaches.

I think this is what's going on, and personally, you'd have to have a pretty big ego or be a big name OC to request guys like Tolbert, BG be on your staff.

most likely you'd have to be a pretty big OC name to pull these guys from the programs they were coming from.

I thought Henson was TE/Recruiting Coordinator?

From there to O-line seems to travel the same as WR/Recruiting Coordinator to WR/Passing Game Coordinator?

He was. But now he's OL and recruiting coordinator at Missouri.

OL coach > TE coach

more money, more responsibility, better on resume etc.

How do you know him?

Honestly, I'd rather not say because I don't like to cross internet world with personal life. I know you understand.

Not sure if this reasoning makes sense to me. Seems to me that Miles wants these guys but has to make sure they would mesh with the OC which means there would be less of a big ego involved.........I think.........

Also, if he's leaving Florida because he's pissed that he didn't get the OC position when Mullen left, then did we promise him something for the future? Does Crowton have one more year? Or did he and Meyer just have a dispute? This is all too insane for me..........

For sure Just thought I'd take a shot

What I heard from my UF friend is that he was already upset last year that Addazio got the nod over him. Apparently Addazio is getting demoted and BG was notified they were gonna go outside the program for the new OC... so now he was double pissed. Probably felt like he was never gonna get the chance at UF to move up so may as well distinguish himself from Meyer and broaden his resume.

Well, IMO, if Miles wins this game big, it's another notch in his gun.

Winning at night has been impressive, but go and do what The Man couldn't, during the day, with a current 1-5 record in Florida during the day, and do it going away.

Hell, we might extend his contract to include his oldest son taking over.

I thought the article said Meyer said it came from nowhere.

I just don't understand how he could be a coordinator in-waiting at LSU though. That means one of two things.

Either Crowton will be the lame duck OC this year or they expect the new OC to leave after a year or two. Neither scenario sounds good to me.

I suppose the third option is that Gonzalez will be the OC after the Cap One game, and the fourth option will be to hire an OL guru as the running game coordinator, bring back the Last Don, and hire a QB coach.

It did. Meyer is completely blindsided. I don't think he was aware how upset BG really was...

Yep, basically.

Wonder if BG can be a force in Florida recruiting still?

Was Jimbo the OC and Monken the passing coordinator? Was there a running game coordinator as well?

And they go waaaaaayyyy back, like Meyer was his position coach at Colorado State back. No wonder the wife is the one leaking info to the press, she's probably pissed too!

For sure.

Looking at the list of guys he pulls... pretty insane. He's got some major pull up the east coast - Harvin, Jelani Jenkins, Hadens..

He had Damian Williams committed too until he switched to follow Malzahn.

He also recruited:

Ron Brooks, T-Bob, Terrance Toliver...
