Nebraska is currently sitting at 3-5. With Purdue, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Iowa left on the schedule. Hard to see better than a 2-2 finish. Likely 1-3.

That would put his career in Lincoln at:

2018 4-8
2019 5-7
2020 3-5
2021 3-5 so far

First Nebraska coach since Bill Jennings in the 1950s to post three or more consecutive losing seasons to begin a tenure.

If I’m the AD? Nope

That’s atrocious for a once proud program.

He does, but it will be his last unless there is a legitimate turnaround next year.

Good question. It reminds me of Brett Bielema at Arkansas. Seemed like the perfect hire. Went incredibly wrong.

Making a Sam Pittman type of hire. Someone older that can stabilize things before it never comes back. That being said, I don’t have a clue who that would be.

I think he gets one more year. Doesn't deserve it, but still think they do it.

I would give him one more year.

It’s one thing for a program like Bama/LSU/etc to have a short 3-4 year leash, but a school like Nebraska needs to give a coach at least 5 years IMO

I think he's done. He was on the hot seat before the season started. It doesn't really look like there's been much, if any, improvement.

Nebby has been pretty much a dumpster fire for a while now.

I am not sure who can win there.

When he was hired there was a poster on this forum who kept posting the same PC Principal looking picture of him in every LSU HC thread. LSU kinda dodged a bullet but also didn't.

Frost looked like he would be a rock star. Didn't work out at all. Imo he would have to pull a major upset or two (including OState) to get a chance at another season.

One more year. But only because he’s a Nebraska guy.

He really needed to win that Michigan game to keep his job IMO.

Frost is a Nebraska guy, but so is his new AD. Trev Alberts also is in the CFB HOF, has his number retired in Lincoln, and he didn't hire Frost.

I don't think Alberts will hesitate to make a move if they finish with a losing record again.

Yes he will.

New AD is his old teammate, pretty sure that is a fact.

Nebraska was a mess when he showed up. Rumor was that Riley the prior coach didnt make kids lift. The S&C had to be rebuilt. Now should it take 4 years? I dont know.

They played mich state tough, OT loss. Michigan they were on a game winning drive and qb fumbeled.

I live in the area and I have not heard one person say he needs to go and he needs another year.

It's not. Frost transferred to Nebraska a couple of years after Alberts was done.

They've been playing teams tough and choking wins away for 4 seasons now. They're an undisciplined team that hasn't shown any significant progress. That's on Frost.

Sam Pittman is working out because they made 2 great coordinator hires.

That program is precarious as LSU under O.

Trev Alberts in the new AD. His last season playing for Nebraska was 1993. Frost transferred to Nebraska in 1995.

I think the associate AD played with Frost. Matt Davison?
