I would put them on the same level, actually. If he leaves, fine. However, why give the blood and guts, fingers crossed behind my back, speech and sign an extension? Everybody knows there is a buyout, but I tend to agree with the sentiment that you carry out your committement.
Isn't that what we always scream about when a college player does not honor his/her committment?

he drops more than a step
and he would look like a total idiot. Saban at least got $4mm reasons to be the BAMA coach. what would Miles get for his trouble? the shadow of his dead former coach looming over him?

you have to understand and expect this from yankees! they are strictly capitalist with the south...carpetbaggers.
and this is who we're going to lose too:
guys so stupid they hurt their only deep threat speed reciever against the fastest team in the SEC = Fla.
look at this group of moron bafoons:
there's a reason why notre dame says these guys are closer to retarded!
for example: Katzenmoyer sued tOSU last summer!
His claim in the lawsuit!!?? = I never learned to read and write while attending the Ohio State.
do any of you in here have any comprehension of how corrupt and dishonest they are!!??

no he doesn't. Saban pulled this other job crap all the time. I think half the LSU fan base was sick of it and ready to say enough.
Everyone knows Miles's love for Michigan. I would say that Meechigan has done alot m ore to mess this up than Miles.

Could he be assisting his alma mater find a coaching candidate as he stated in the press conference?
I do not know if he drops below Saban if he leaves, but they are definitely will be in the same class.

Either way, I'm glad Miles did what he did before the SECCG. If the voters had thought he was leaving, it would have hurt our chances of getting in the BCSCG.
As for where Miles drops on the LSU hate meter if he leaves, a lot depends on whether we win or lose.

Saban left for his dream job...Dolphins.
If he leaves, Miles will leave for his dream job.
What's the difference?

Will Miles be moving to Auburn, Tennessee etc. and making a Beeline for LA. recruiting talent?

well he'd take a hit in the media short term, but long term people would forget as long as he wins

well he'd take a massive hit in the national media short term and his reputation of being a nutball would be cemented, but long term Michigan people would forget as long as he wins but the national media would scrutinize him mercilessly just like they have done to Saban
I think this is closer to the mark

Saban only left for Bama after his dream job turned sour. He got a little desparate.
I don't like Saban either. I'm just saying that he didn't really screw LSU when he left like most ranters think.
