Didn't BK do the same thing when he left for LSU?

Grow up Peter Pan…most of these coaches are not “men of character”

You want to win or do you want a nice loser like the basketball team has?

Nope

Why should it?

Theoretically, there's nothing that would stop said person who originally makes said choice to do it again to the new school in the midst of his most accomplished season to spring board to a new greener pasture.

Not in the least. Players leave constantly for any reason under the sun, so do coaches, so do administrators. This is a billion dollar industry where everyone is looking out for their own best interest.

Stop romanticizing it.

It's not his fault. You're fricked in today's CFB if you're a coach people want. The schedule makes it impossible to finish the season before possibly moving.

The pussies on this board make it obvious why Louisiana sucks so bad.

Who is walking out on a team that is clearly playoff bound.....

If we are being truthful, I doubt Kiffin wants to leave the team. If you gave him the option, he would absolutely coach OM through the playoffs and then bounce after the season. Hell, he may even try to keep calling OM's bluff and coach the team the rest of the way. Based on Verge's statements previously, LSU would wait for him if they truly believe he is their guy.

Don't mistake the football calendar necessitating a shitty decision as the coach's desire to leave his team high and dry.

No, it’s not his fault. Change the early signing date.

No. Why would you not hire the best possible coach. This will be the norm for coaches wanting better jobs and more teams in playoff contention.

No, I was always happy when the hottie broke up with her boyfriend and hopped in my bed. Better guy and bed gets the hot thing.

This program is at a crossroads of desperation and no one cares if he is here for more than one more national championship. That’s what LSU has gotten out of every coach since 2000 but for Kelly. Those are the immediate expectations.

Pathetic to blame anyone other than the guy making the decision. Yeah the rules/scheduling have a dumb setup, that doesn’t excuse walking away from your playoff bound team.

This is just stupid. If he had it his way, he'd want to coach through the end. Now he has to make a decision about this short term potential vs q better long term situation for himself. If he really like Florida/LSU, who knows when he'll get that opportunity again?
