Yes. The recruiting aspects of CFB are different but he is still the best at getting admins and boosters in line, detail oriented game planning, and has credibility to attract elite coordinators, assistants, and analysts. He hates losing more than he likes winning. The answer is yes without hesitation.

Yes, of course. Who knows football better than Nick? It’s not like he’s playing. He institutes the process, hires his guys who can operate in his system and the system just kind of sustains itself, stablized by his mere presence.

He literally retired because he couldn't get the coordinators and assistants he wanted due to his age. He was forced to hire Tommy Rees and Kevin Steele.

It gives me flashbacks of Lou Holtz, Paterno, Bobby Bowden. Having to hear constant talk about his past accomplishments when clearly it’s just a goodbye tour lasting multiple years with a washed out coach with no fire left. Except we will hear mostly Bamas accomplishments under Saban for several years every game. Plus he’d be a lame duck coach, waiting to hear if he’s retiring every year.

What a Saban or Stoops or Urban would do, is immediately hush the screamin knotheads and provide some immediate stability.

Two of these are not like the other.

Um, no. We know he could refresh what he built here in the first place and leave it in great shape for the next decade.

That’s why it’s so hard to tell whether or not Deboer is any good - he walked into a well-oiled machine, just like Les did.

Very much so ..3 seasons with a HCIW

Because that has worked out well for so many people. Do you really think someone like Saban would even entertain that thought. Good lord people

If he were an ordinary, run of the mill HC, I would concur but he is not. He is most pragmatic, unlike plus 90% of the others

Saban doesn't quit and his inner-psychopath activates during loses. We need this mentality, especially after handing someone an obnoxious amount of $$$

are you sure we are not the delusional ones? Bc a lot of us still think Saban is a possibility which is laughably dumb.

Wow...where was all this Saban love and reverence for the past 17 years? lol

You guys are entertaining...delusional, but definitely entertaining.

FTR, Stoops and Urban both took Nick to the woodshed the last time they coached against him.

The birthday video of him laid back in a recliner with an Afghan blankie was leaked on purpose for the LSU fans.
