Wherever there is a Bear Bryant picture in Tuscaloosa, you can bet there is a Nick Saban picture somewhere not too far away.

We were talking about the city of Tuscaloosa, not Gump Nation according to the internet

Take it to another thread and stop shitting on this one.

but if he wants an immortal legacy then he's in the right place
If that's all he cared about he never would have left LSU. We are the one elite school that doesn't really have a Woody, Neyland, Bo, Bear, etc. Lots of very good coaches sure like Bernie Moore, Dietzel, Mac, Arnsparger but no giant towering over the history of the program to really speak of.

i'm sure it does but in the NFL it's almost entirely about the QB and a job with an elite QB already there doesn't open up very often. He's not going to go coach Matt Schaub i guarantee you that.
True, but when Carrol went to Seattle there was no Russell Wilson. When Harbaugh went to SF, an underachieving Alex Smith was the QB. The Texans job won't be the only one available at the end of this season. Though with that defense, they look very much like SF and Seattle did when Carroll and Harbaugh took over.
Washington (with RGIII) definitely looks like it will be open, and you never know what an NFL owner of a team with a solid QB (Dallas, Atlanta) might do if Saban says he wants to coach their team. Always plenty of ?'s in the NFL. Will John Fox's health allow him to keep coaching? Do the Giants want to move away from the up and down nature of Coughlin? Detroit has a ton of talent and a very good young QB, but on many Sundays is its own worst enemy because of a lack of discipline.
While Saban struggled in Miami, a lot has happened since that time. Harbaugh and Carroll have shown that success in college CAN translate to success in the NFL. When he went to Miami, Saban was a one-time NC winning coach who had had 5 really good, but not dominant seasons at LSU. Now he's won 3 more NC's at Bama and has dominated the best conf. in America. Believe me, if he (or Sexton calls) every NFL owner would listen.

Well, if you don't know that Texas produces a lot more big time D-1 football prospects than Alabama then I don't know what to tell you.
I never said that Texas doesn't have the most and best D1 prospects but that's not the point. Saban has won 3 out of the last 4 national championships recruiting the best players from Alabama and surrounding states. Texas is such a large state that he is still going to be getting on planes to fly and see recruits. Logistically, there won't be much change to his recruiting at Texas than at Alabama. Part of Texas' problem is they are more or less finished with recruiting before the end of the football season and they don't fully evaluate talent imho.
