Where is he going? I don't see him getting a HC job. Not this soon. He's not gonna DC another school. Pro? Not sure about that either.

I remember when we hired him it was the talk that he eventually wants to be a head coach. Just hoping to get another year or two from him at lsu.

He’s got like the 40th ranked defense. He’s done a great job IMO but let’s not pretend he’s some hot commodity YET

LSU is #24 nationally in scoring defense (#4 in the SEC) - compared to #59 last year (#10 SEC) and #99 in 2020 (#11 SEC).
LSU is #33 nationally in total defense (#4 in the SEC) - compared to #60 last year (and #10 SEC) and #124 in 2020 (#13 SEC).
I’d say House is getting the recognition he deserves for this.

Comparing this year to last year in any way is not even relevant IMO.

In this case, though, House is the one doing it. Why diminish the accomplishment?

The only potential threat seems to be a NFL DC job. Even then, LSU could likely match the money. It would just be a matter of if he prefers the college or pro game

people laugh, but I said this weeks ago...it will have to be a HUGE job for him to give up coaching HP.

I don’t see it that way. I’m pleased with the defense. I’m mostly saying that for me a statistical improvement was expected because of how bad they were last year.

Not everyone wants to be a HC. Especially now with NIL and the pressure of managing expectations with regards to NIL. I doubt very seriously that House leaves us for another SEC school, much less one that's burning to the ground.
