Do Colts fans really want a new HC?

Isn't this the same coach who went to the Super Bowl less than 2 years ago? The coach who had en elite QB get injured, lowering team morale to an all time low? He might not be Bill Belicheck, but I think it'd be a travesty to see this guy get fired.

there coach isn't the coach of that team. Peyton Manning is the on field coach.

Someone needs to be fired. General Manager, coach, someone. There are a lot of teams that have much worse quarterbacks than the Colts. Many of those teams have lost QBs due to injury. Most of those teams still field a competitive, competent looking team.
This is a peek into what the Colts will be like when Manning is gone for good. They'd be smart to go ahead and get rid of whatever idiots have put them in this situation.

SoSo adapt around it. Caldwell should get the 1st half of next season to turn it around, Manning or not.

I think a new general manager would be a great idea though.. look at the rest of their team.. they should be much better off not having to worry about a QB in the first few rounds the last 12 years..

I could have stood on the sidelines and allowed Peyton to do his thing all the way to the Super Bowl. The only bit of coaching that Jim Caldwell did that season was to bench his starters and kill the shot at a perfect season.

Colts fan here. I like Caldwell because for the most part, he doesn't screw with Peyton or the offense. We need a new DC in a bad way. GM too probably. We draft well in later rounds, but miss on high picks IMO. Some of it is luck though. Gonzo is a good receiver for the offense, but he's too injury prone.

The Colts have gotten a pass on poor defense/personel decisions because Manning has constantly bailed them out every year. They've been exposed this year and at the very least it's time for a new GM.

All of those guys other than Addai were basically terrible. And while Addai was pretty good for them his first few seasons, he's been pretty bad recently.

He's been living off reputation for a while, he's done a terrible job of drafting of late and it shows. I doubt they'd be winless if Manning was healthy, but they would not have made the playoffs and done no better than 6, maybe 8 wins.

Caldwell doesn't do shite. Peyton Manning had what I call the Brett Favre-effect.
Brett was so good at Southern Miss he made Curely Hallman look great (and we paid the price).
Manning is so good, he made his average RB's and average WR's (minus Wayne) look good. He also won DESPITE an average defense (minus Freeney).
Now that he is gone, the team is showing it's true colors.
Just imagine if Manning had a stacked team. Imagine if he was on the 49ers? Crabtree, V Davis, and Ginn Jr would be tearing it up and with that defense they might not lose a game.
