Why couldn't Texas just beat TCU. My god they suck

Also, Alleva is a pussy who should have paid 6-7 mil for Herman

No, screw Texas by making them pay top dollar for Herman with little left over to go after Aranda.

If our fricking AD is making emotional, vindicative decisions then he needs to be fired ASAP.

Saying it over and over doesn't make it true.

So is LSU second fiddle to Texas now? If you want the best you have to pay for the best.

So if Aranda stays, what was the correct decision?

Lol Texas could pay Herman 10 million and have plenty to go after Aranda if they wanted

I don't disagree that LSU couldn't make Herman say yes if he didn't want to. However, that doesn't excuse stopping the search and overpaying your DL coach to be the HC.

No because you are giving them the opportunity.

What's the downside of staying in the negotiations to make Texas pay a premium price for Herman? You think Orgeron was going to take another job?

After Alleva leaked it before their game, it pissed Herman off so he decided to talk to Texas again. It was done. Alleva shooting his mouth off messed it up.

Seriousll question

Are you mentally retarded?

Sure, they could, but the whole reason they were considering keeping Strong was due to his buyout. Texas has frick you money, but that doesn't mean they want to spend it.

It's not like Herman is established like Meyer, Saban, harbaugh. He is a great OC that has 2 good years as a HC in the AAC but also lost to smu and navy.

He could be the next Saban or the next strong. I agree with not breaking the bank for Herman I would have rather broke the bank for Jimbo but either way "O" is our coach and I'll support the Tigers

Maybe on Strong - I assumes they just didn't want bad press.

Personally. If he broke an agreement with me, I wouldn't be working to get him more money.

He did not want LSU. Making Texas pay a few more dollars does nothing to them.

Herman was never coming here. Once Strong was out, the Texas job was his to refuse. And he obviously wanted to be the guy in Austin

Even if it ultimately benefits you? This is the problem with O supporters. Everything is based on emotion rather than logic.

Third choice, not 998.

Whats the point of having frick you money, if you never say Frick You?

Billions :)

They get him for a bargain because there is no one to bid against. Except Houston but he's ready to move to a P5 job. LSU screwed Herman by backing out quickly and not bidding against UT. Now he's stuck with whatever they choose to pay him or he goes back to UH.

Who said I am an O supporter?

You are assuming Alleva didn't have discussions with Aranda already or that Aranda said he is not going to Texas.

He may have had Aranda locked up before the dropped Herman

sorry, but we weren't going to outbid Texas for Herman...at the end of the day, he coveted that job. It was a no-win situation once Strong flamed out
Well, perhaps we should have had more than two guys on our search list.
