Vandy defensive SEC ppg) rankings as HC. So he's had two pretty good years considering their talent and 5 shitty years. I'm pretty meh on this

And if his defense turns out to suck, LSU won't be able to fire him because that would be racist.

only the past couple of seasons. His defenses were comparable to Franklin's (around 6th in the SEC) until 2018. That tells me he wasn't a great recruiter or head coach more than anything, doesn't mean he doesn't know how to put together a defense with tools that he'd have at LSU. He was very good in that role at Stanford as well. I wouldn't personally pick him, but we could do worse.

Vandy was last in the SEC in the talent composite on 247 this year (and I'm guessing that's been the case his entire tenure). They also had like half their starters opt out before the season and many more during the season. They were playing with fewer than 50 available roster players on a team that already had less talent than the entire conference.

Everything you say is spot on. Any thoughtful opinion is appropriate, but the superficial degrading of an individual with no real research is all to common on this board.
