Sort of. He did imply that some at LSU are meh on Jimbo

And they should be.

I’m not saying Jimbo would be a terrible hire, but he’s not a grand slam hire. He’s had several years with the best money can buy at A&M and has yet to have a stellar season. Could he win a championship at LSU? Possibly. But he’s not going to build a year in year out playoff contending program.

I think the issue is he wouldn’t even say yes or no until after OU is out, you can’t sit around waiting for an answer and if it’s No and your #2, 3, and 4 choices are all off the table then where does that leave you?

Seems like everybody's fall back favorites would still be there.

I think Stoops is awesome. Here’s my issue, he’s done an incredible job recruiting Ohio and the Midwest and I don’t know how that translates to LSU.

His family is Youngstown royalty and he played at Iowa and he’s pulled a lot of really good 2nd tier players from Ohio. Can he have similar success in east Texas? Or Florida? Can he fend off intruders in Louisiana? Idk. Kentucky might be the perfect spot for him.

Some of Mark's stops along the way.

1996 South Florida (DB)
2000 Houston (co-DC/S)
2001–2003 Miami (FL) (DB)
2004–2009 Arizona (DC/DB)
2010–2012 Florida State (DC/DB)

Mark's a good recruiter and he'd kill it at LSU or say, Florida or Florida State.

This is correct. Riley can say No, and still has a cushy, high paying job to stay at. Woodward would be up shits creek if that happens on Jan 11th

And he is well aware of that possibility

P.s. it's not tucker. It's never been tucker, and it never will be tucker. He's not even qualified to get an interview

This is so ridiculous. How is Aranda and Napier qualified but Tucker is not? He has a power five program in the top 3 in his second year as head coach…

Riley took too long. It's on to the next guy unless Riley signs on the dotted line. #2 is a decent hire, not a splash like Riley though. Good shot at getting him IMO.

Caleb Williams will kill the Riley possibility. OU was a 2 loss team until he took over. Him starting will extend OU’s season into late December.

I'm a "reading between the lines" guy. I have no information. But, the chatter to me has shifted away from Riley. I think LSU has already received word from him (or received no word) and he's no longer an option.

I hate it. But, his name being mentioned supports my opinion in #1.

This does not mean shite to me. He beat an overrated Michigan team and had to rally to do so and imo was more the work of a superstar running back than his superior coaching skills. You would give the keys to the program to a guy that is barely over .500 in his coaching career?? We can't afford another flash in the pan coach hire it has to be a home run.

Jimbo is the sure thing.

1) Riley
2) Jimbo
3) Napier.(if Jimbo croaks before that time)

I'd put money on Jimbo. easy pull, very eager.

I can’t believe how much longer these conversations will continue.

Again, there is no search being conducted. There was a search but it’s been over for some time now. The coach is secured and he is not any of these. This is nothing more than a well orchestrated misinformation campaign.
