Colorado doesn't give a shite about football.

I disagree. It's not SEC or Big Ten level commitment, but a competitive program there gets as much support as the top 3rd of the Pac 12, Big 12, or ACC.

Colorado in the 90's was a rocking place when it had some swag. Prime Time brings swag like no one else.

I love how this keeps getting repeated as if it's a stone cold fact from a bunch of people whose only evidence is other people repeating it on the internet.

Or it could be my observations from watching college football closely for the last 40 years.

No team that hires Dorrell cares about college football.

I would say only Cal and Stanford care less in the PAC 12.

Universities that don't care about football don't take reputational risks like Deion Sanders in order to win. He's a wild card who is going to speak his mind about anything and everything and push every rule to the limit in order to try to win his way. If Colorado didn't care, they would go hire a yes man.

Would those top recruits from last year follow him to Boulder?

CU does not allow transfer credits. No one is following him here or transferring here from anywhere else.

Who exactly should CU have hired when Tucker ditched them in mid February?

If you've been watching college football closely for 40 years, you'd know their hires of Barnett and Hawkins were considered pretty big moves at the time. It was 17 years ago when CU's admins freaked out about the end of the Barnett era and deemphasized football.

Like I said in another thread, if CU is willing to make a splash hire on someone like Deion, then everything you keep claiming about the program may not necessarily be true anymore.

horseshite. I love Buffs football. I had season tickets for eight years. This is a program that has been architecting its own decline for 20 years. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a Saturday afternoon boutique football fan base that doesn’t get loud or want to win. What it means is that the ADMINISTRATION has higher priorities than doing what is required to build a legitimate Winn football program. They have higher ( lol ) priorities on that campus. They are and have been the center of the woke movement, particularly the gender woke movement. And they just will never have the kind of administrative unity it will take to emphasize winning at football. They just won’t. And I say that regretfully, not with any sense of spite. And Sanders totally lacks the political sophistication to subject himself to that environment. CU is a mess and it’s run by messy people with no true love for football. It has nothing to do with fans or stadiums or your lovely wife. They are where they decided to be- minimal effort at building a program and any coach who comes there has to swim so hard against the tide that it’s just not worth it. The first time some woke administrator gets their tenders aroused about something, they will reflexively burn it down.
