Man I'd rather them get Bennet than Grinch.

Grinch is really underrated and I think could be a star.

Wasn't ASU trying to hire a coach who would keep their coordinators?

I am more likely to be the DC for A&M than Phil Bennet is.

He burned so many bridges over the last 10+ years that he's not welcome in College Station, a fact bore out by A&M putting 66 (2005) and 55 (2011) points on his defenses the last time his teams played there.

Just in case you needed further clarification:

In 2005, SMU (coached by Phil Bennet) lost 66-8.

In 2011, Baylor (with Bennet as DC) lost 55-28.

The downvotes lolololol.

He is headed to college station, bc he and his wife live there.

He is not going to be Texas A&M’s DC, and I doh t he could even get on staff in an analyst position.

Someone really threw some shite out there to see if it stocked and people bit.

There’s not much tread left on Bennet.

I remember when he was LSU DC back in the early 90s Under Curley Hallman.

Well traveled coach.

That just exemplifies that he is not a very good coach, not that A&M won’t hire him.

Exactly. We won't hire him because he said really shitty things when we moved to the SEC and we remember that.

He started out as LB coach and became DC by the cataclysmic end of the Hallman days.

He was practically on Hallman's arse on the sidelines during the infamous Auburn "pick six " game. You could read his lips screaming at Hallman, "What the frick are you doing?"

I was waiting for someone to remember...

But that being said, unless A&M is going cheap on assistants due to all Jimbo's money, I seriously doubt the Ags would settle on Bennet.
