If Lincoln Riley was legit offered 96 million, and Oklahoma doesn't match, he'll be the next coach at LSU. That amount of money isn't gonna be turned down or held up for dogs names or any other reason.

You know... it might actually be Fickell. All along no one has really talked about him but people were saying he did not want to leave Ohio... then suddenly there was talk of him with USC. Does anyone know who his agent is? Because that article from WBRZ said a month prior to O being fired Woodward had a zoom meeting with Sexton and another agent. I am thinking the reason they officially fired O was because he had his man a month later.

I don't think the Boomer Sooner thing means anything, but now that the smoke has cleared it sure seems like Gruss and tbl were celebrating Riley picking up the phone personally, and if it takes $12 million a year to do that, you should not at all feel confident that he's coming. OU wouldn't need to give a counter offer in even the same stratosphere.

I think this hire is coming out of left field, possibly an NFL guy with P5 HC or Coordinator background, or guy like Petersen. I say this because Agents blab, and there has been nothing concrete coming from anywhere.
The more this goes on, seemingly under the radar, it leaves me to believe this hire was possibly done well before Orgeron's announced departure.
