It's truly 50-50 Richt will be back, we will find out Monday. Mullen is Mcgarity's guy and if the AD has his way Dan will be the next UGA coach if a change is made.

I think Mullen is a great coach. He has an eye for talent and has done some pretty amazing things at Miss State.

No knock on State at all, but there are other conferences where he could probably get better pay and not have to face the same SEC West each year. He does really well now, can you imagine him with more talent than opposing schools?

There aren't many getting paid more than him right now; he's making $4M now

I like him better than jimbo. Jimbo was given the keys to a Ferrari. Mullen was given the keys to a '76 pinto. Both have managed to run a good race but one is more impressive than the other.

Wtf world do you live in? Did you watch FSU bowdens last few years? Ever look at the recruiting rankings or draft grades on bowdens last few teams?

Jimbo was left a program way way behind from a facility standpoint and asst coaching sallaries. Like way behind. He fixed that.

He also fixed the lack of talent that the program had. They were seriously a slightly better than .500 program when he took over and had been like that for a few years before he took over.

He also encouraged them to raise their expectations which only the beat coaches do.

Mullen is a good coach but not in the same stratosphere as Jimbo.

If you were a coach would you have preferred to walk in to the situation jimbo inherited or the one Mullen inherited? I know which one I'd have taken.

Has turned down Virginia Tech and Maryland. Looks like he is itching to get out.

Isn't Mullen being paid like $4.5 million a year at Mississippi State? How many schools have that kind of cash lying around? FSU doesn't. Neither does Miami. I'm not sure USC can afford a $4.5 million/year coach either. Virginia Tech and LSU are probably the only schools who can afford to pay him that kind of money.

In jimbos defense by the time he took over at Florida state it was far from a powerhouse it was a case where Bobby Bowden really stayed well past his prime and was then hurting the football program more than he was helping it

It's closer to 4 but we go through this every year. I just quit worrying about it long ago. If he leaves, then we are in better shape than when he got here. We can find a good coach for $4, I would think. Personally, I don't see him going unless the bar gets reset with everyone making Saban like money. Don't see that happening.

It really becomes a question of do you want to take a slight paycut for a legit shot at winning a national title. What's more important to you?

There are only a handful of programs with legit chances at a National Title.
