Oregon is the top job west of Austin now. NIL totally changes the pecking order.

It made no sense for him to leave

It makes no sense for any coach at a P5 school that has the ability to compete to be honest

I don’t know why everybody in the media assumed Lanning after what he said earlier this year. I know plans change, but he seemed very genuine to me when he stated he wanted to raise his family in Oregon. He said he had everything he needed to compete and he wasn’t going anywhere.

Makes sense for Lanning to stay where he is, good decision by him imo.

Have to think the next calls are Dabo, Norvell, and Lane in some order. All three are in situations that make a lot more sense for those coaches to take the money and run.

That’s assuming Demeco and Sark are not interested, which I doubt they are.

The idea that guys are flying around the country in 2024 is comical.

Hey do they act like they know anything when they don’t?

What’s wrong with saying, “it looks like Lanning is the next guy.” Instead of saying, “it’s going to be Lanning and I expect the announcement within the next 23 hours.”?

It's like these people spend so much time looking for a flight that matches what they want to believe that when they actually find one they are pot committed and go all in on that meaning it HAS TO BE the next coach.

When House was fired he said "My source inside the program said there was a disconnect on the defensive side..."

That's some hard nose journalism.
