Exactly. That's the offensive & defensive coordinators responsibility.
A head coach may throw a bone to these guys, but in general they rarely give more than input to the coordinators. The head coach wants it clear that a coach's loyalty is to him.

I'm sure they have input, but it is the HC's responsibility.

cut is a class guy imo. tenn was probably his dream job, and i truly think he would have felt guilty leaving duke at this time. of course this is all dependent on him actually being offered the job in the first place.

Good for Duke, not so good for UT. But they'll get someone good, I'm sure. That's too good of a program to get anyone less than capable.

If ever there was an antidote to the snake-oil narcissism of Lane Kiffin, David Cutcliffe could be the poster boy.
Unlike Kiffin, Cutcliffe is a sincere man who respects his profession and others who pursue it. Unlike Kiffin, Cutcliffe kept his word to the school he made promises to. And unlike Kiffin, Cutcliffe actually has a winning record as a head coach.

Great news for Duke. Hopefully it will help out recruiting since the kids will know that Cutcliffe will be at Duke for a while.
