LSU isnt paying Orgeron money for a new coach ($8,387,500), unless they have a better resume. So with that in mind here is the rumored salaries of possible targets:
Those with similar or better resumes
Saban - $9,500,000
Dabo - $8,258,575
Fisher - $7,500,000
Bob Stoops - $0 ($5,500,000 in 2016)
Those with lesser resumes
Lincoln - $7,642,710
Franklin - $7,000,000
Patterson - $6,103,543
Tucker - $5,466,303
Mark Stoops - $5,250,000
Peterson - $0 ($5,075,000 in 2019)
Kiffin - $4,841,937
EdO starting salary - $3,500,000 (2017)
Fickell - $3,400,000
Brian Kelly - $3,250,000
Napier - $2,000,000
Aranda - unreported
No one with a lesser resume is getting close to $8M, so Lincoln and Franklin are out.

I don’t think this includes all his income. Private universities don’t have to disclose.

Franklin pay is $6,000,000 this year. He wont make the incentives.
LINK to PSU site with pdf
Ed only making a little over six million his self this year. Wouldn’t get most incentives other than team GPA maybe. That’s why just under $17 million for buyout. 6 million x 4 more years at 70%,
LINK to LSU contract
They both get a million for life insurance. So count that as you will.

Think of all that money that Wisconsin has saved by not winning championships.

They have more important things to spend that money on, like removing racist rocks.
