Couple of things to keep in mind on the LSU Hire

based on what we learned about SW from his previous high profile hires
1. there will be tons of leaks and misinformation from boosters, admin, media
2. there will be disinformation from admin, media, boosters
3. there will be NO accurate insider info because practically every potential HC Woodward would want is repped by Trace Armstrong and Jimmy Sexton and they are partners in the same firm. There are no outsiders involved
4. the search started for the CEO replacement months ago
5. we will not know anything firm until it leaks out who Woodward presents to the BOS for their tacit approval
boosters that are cut out of the process will leak to the media to sway the search
admin (tate) and BOS/politicians will leak to sway the search (see Mel Tucker)
media will leak to generate clicks and buzz
with Sexton and Armstrong working together my bet is most of the CFB HC moves this coming off season are already mapped out and basically decided
should be a fun ride

yeah no doubt
the Sexton/Armstrong monopoly at CAA Sports kind of takes the fun out of it but at least we know the grownups are in charge of the LSU Football program and we dont end up with somebody like Joe Dean or Joe Alleva doing stupid shite

I think James Franklin would simply crush it at LSU in every way
I think there will be a push from boosters for an Aranda/Herman combo platter
we have already seen the Tate/Temple Mel Tucker campaign start today
If it is Jimbo then it has been quietly done a long time ago, but I dont think it is Jimbo
if Franklin leaves PSU, I think maybe Fickell goes to PSU
I dont know why, but I think we should keep a close eye on Brian Kelly at ND, not my favorite but the All Time Wins HC at ND would be a major splash hire for Woodward
matt campbell at ISU is a “reasonable” candidate, but doesnt move the splash needle
I believe the Kiffin, Freeze, Napier are no go from the start for different reasons
seems like Bob Stoops and Peterson lost their fire
