I don't know about melt but Alleva will be plumb out of excuses of Woodward successfully gets Alleva's first choice.
He will have been shown up by his own boss (F.King), Foley/MacIlwain (when the facts were all pro-LSU, not sure how he managed to lose the PR battle on that one), and by Scott Woodward (an LSU graduate).

I wanted Jimbo last year, but his flat out bad losses the last two years make me wonder if he’s worth the required price. Dabo has put him solidly in the rear view and Petrino has two in a row on him. Why pay that money to someone who doesn’t look like a guy who can challenge Saban?
He could be great at A&M, but he may just be a modest upgrade over Sumlin at a higher price, too. So no melt here from a former fan.
